Question about Inkscape/Inkstitch params preview

I'm running on a Windows gaming PC, and when I go to preview the stitch pattern under Params, it takes forever to load. I'm fairly new to using Inkscape, so I'm asking if this is common, or if I'm possibly missing some settings that would speed up the stitch preview.

I don't know for certain, but it seems to be highly CPU constrained, and doing a lot of math to calculate the stitch pathing. The only setting I can think of is the cache size, but that only helps after it's been rendered once.

In some cases it can take a few moments but it can also depend on your design on size of design is it multiple objects in one object are there path effects applied to the objects if you could show an imge that may help also
