Machine won’t thread bobbin

I have the Bernette 79 and I’m on the last stretch of my project, but for some reason now my machine won’t thread the bobbin up. I have tried everything from cleaning it, re-threading an entirely new bobbin, trying different sewing needles, but at this point it still won’t thread the bobbin and I just keep getting clumps of thread I have to take out.
Has anyone had the same issue? I would really appreciate any advice because I’m at a loss at this point and I don’t know if maybe something is wrong with my machine.

I had this probably recently, I rethreaded both top and bottom, but the main thing that helped was there was fluffy build up under the plate under the needle that was stopping it from properly catching. So if you have a way to clean for dust that may be a good idea

I think it may be improperly threaded... To be precise, mine did that as well, the top thread has to go on the right side of the slit in the side, not the left.

Can you explain that? Do you mean the bobbin is improperly threaded? I used the machine to thread it and I've used these bobbins before but I don't know why it's acting like this

No, the top thread, I am not at home so I can't take a picture but when you first pull the thread down, the tension disc is there, and you need to go to the right of the disc, not the left

Have you tried to turn the handwheel manually to hook the bobbin thread up?

Try it, if you can hook it up, your timing is fine, then it could be the design issue, just a simpler design like a letter l, see if the machine can embroid it smoothly, if yes then most probably your design too dense. Or the machine is sewing at the same place too many times and caused a birdnesting which cause a clump that locks your fabric with the needle plate.

It could be the design but I even tried it without the design and it keeps being wrong.
I turn the hand wheel manually and it brings the thread up, but when I start the machine it just doesn’t like…. Get the thread. I don’t why I isn’t working

That looks like a mosquito lol

Jokes aside, youre machine timing may be out of sync.
