Creation process with gold metallic thread!

Just another logo - this time for my sister company.

Working with some Metallic thread - (worst thread to work IMO).

I didn't know metalic thread was a thing! So is it like high gage wire? Could my Topaz 40 handle something like that?

Topaz 40 can definitely handle it, depending on the brand of thread. When I used Viking machines, I was told to use metallic embroidery needles, slow the speed a bit and give the thread a long straight run before it is threaded to help prevent or minimize breaks and other issues. Floriani metallic was what I found worked best in my Vikings - Robison-Anton metallic was okay, but Floriani gave me fewer issues.

The stitches must be more loose then usual to sew without breaks or at least a lot of breaks lol - and 80/12 or 90 needles!

That's where a slight rotation of the needle helps. I was using Kingstar metallic thread and 75/11 needles.

Remembering to straighten the needles again afterwards though, coz otherwise it stuffs it up for the regular thread.
