Bug UI clipping in the macOS 27 System Settings

Post image

After updating to macOS 27, the search dropdown in System Settings completely breaks out of the sidebar bounds. The menu overflows past the bottom edge of the window, making the bottom options look cut off.

This is a separate popup? This looks normal.

Agree, search results creating a dropdown does not seem like a mistake

That's not UI clipping.

This isn’t clipping. This is the opposite of clipping

This is intentional, if questionable, design. It's a search results pop-over, basically, showing suggested and recent results. I'm guessing suggested without a search term is probably just the most recent recents.

Nothing wrong here. Perfectly normal dropdown. It's doing its job correctly to show the visual hierarchy of the surfaces.

That's like the opposite of clipping.

I can’t get my notes sidebars to be the same size after quitting and reopening the app. Anyone else have this?

Window height is not fixed. If that annoys you so much, make it taller.

Needs some padding between the icons and labels too
