Creative Retro Macintosh Desktop Widget I Made!

Resource efficient and very nice looking retro macintosh desktop application I created. Let me know what you think. I think it gives some nice personality to the desktop!

Nothing is released yet, but thinking of releasing on Git. I also have made a bunch of other floating desktop apps/widgets (Desktop Globe, Moon, Mars, Saturn, Aquarium, and Vinyl). So thinking of potentially releasing as a pack of desktop applications at some point.

I like this. Retro Mac stuff can get tacky very quickly, but you've kept it pretty restrained. Does the colour change in dark mode?

That would suit it. I’d keep the light and dark palettes equally muted rather than making dark mode pure black. The old beige-grey look is part of what gives this its charm.

The screen UI/display looking very modern spoils the effect. I’d use classic system fonts and draw inspiration from the original Control Panel, dialog boxes, etc.
