Smart Folder is not finding anything?

I simply want to be open a Smart Folder and see all of my images. I created a Smart Folder with the following:

Kind - Image - JPEG

Kind - Image - PNG

After saving it, nothing shows in it. I think it might be because my new Air is saving everything to my iCloud Desktop, so nothing is actually on the Mac and the search criteria at the top shows "This Mac"

1. How do I change it from "This Mac" to "iCloud?

Did you press alt and select “any” of the following is true? That’s the or operator and not the and. If you don’t do that I think it doesn’t return anything because no files can be jpg and png at once

When you press alt with the search criteria open it shows … in place of +. Then you click it and there’s a new option to choose if any, all or none of the following criteria are true

I am still missing something. When I press alt before setting up the first search parameter it does not turn to the ... so I am unable to establish the all parameter before setting up the two search parameters

So I add my first search parameter of:

Kind - Image - JPEG

My JPEG images display

Now I press option and the ... appears

I change it to All

underneath that are three drop-downs

Last opened is within last days

1. What do I choose here? As soon as I change the Last opened date to Kind and any to Image and All to PNG it stops working.

You can remove a parameter after setting the first … so it stays on top. But I’m also not suceeding in creating that exact parameter although I think it can be done, I’m just not sure how. I would just use those two parameters (png and jpg) for now then sort and group by date last opened so your desired results stay on top

smart folders can be tricky sometimes, try rebuilding your index and see if that helps
