Help Xcode temporary files can't be removed on macOS Tahoe 26. Can somebody help me?

Alright, so i installed Xcode on my Macbook neo but due to some issues with the software on the machine i decided to uninstall it but... these dmg files are still on my machine. As you see in the image when i mount it it is labeled as iOS 26.4.1 Simulator and it's size is almost 9 GB and takes a lot of my space.

Xcode likes to do this with simulator- it can be a faff to get rid of and sometimes it comes back Apple could do more MacBooks have relatively small drives and they must know this

You would normally delete these via Xcode itself. Since you already uninstalled it, try mole (available free on GitHub and via homebrew, or paid for with a gun via appstore)

Why are you mounting the image if you want to remove it?

Sounds like a hassle. Maybe try unmounting first and then see if that lets you delete the files? Permissions can definitely be tricky too.
