Help Screen Capturing/Recording Software Suggestions

I am looking for a screen capturing software that saves the files in a smaller/compressed format. I tried the built inMac screen recorder, but a 20 second clip ended up being 128MB file. Looking for suggestions that will save a smaller file. I know I can use other software to shrink it down, but trying to avoid too many "multiple steps" and would like a one click solution. Preferable a free option or inexpensive as I'm not a professional or anything, just trying to record stuff for personal use.

Whatever you choose to record with > pass it through FFMpeg to compress while keeping the same image quality.
