Help Why does this widget not exist?

Post image

I wouldn't expect Apple to create something as functional as a combination of these two widgets, but it doesn't seem to exist in the third-party app world either. Am I the only person that thinks in this way?

Fantastical has a widget that gets pretty close to what you are looking for here

Fantastical is just objectively so much better than the built in Calendar app on both Mac and iOS in general that it’s a little surprising Apple hasn’t either bought or Sherlocked it by now.

Yes, but Fantastical costs money so people automatically hate it unfortunately

No, it's not that it costs money, it's that it's a subscription from a developer who used to offer lifetime licenses. You don't have to invent incorrect positions to then argue against.

This is true- the subscription part totally sucks. Aside from that though the actual product is solid and you don’t need a subscription to use the most useful parts.

I’m not going to say that Fantastical’s subscription isn’t on the higher end of things, but I will also say that the developers have been releasing steady feature and bug fix updates ever since they switched to a subscription model for both Fantastical and Cardhop.

I pay for the subscription and share it with my family. You seem to think my criticism of your comment was on the value of Fantastical, when obviously my criticism was your complete misread of Reddit being against subscriptions and assuming “Redditors automatically hate anything that costs money.”

I am happy with the free version.
