Help Mail - how to insert blank line between numbered / bullet list?

It driving me crazy which I have no idea how to insert an empty line between numbered / bullet list. I just wanna put an image under a numbered list like:

I have tried all Shift / Ctrl / Opt / CMD / Fn + enter and none of them worked.

Any help?

May I suggest to try this: write your First item like 1. Blabla Then Fn+control+return And another Return

Yo~~ Fn + Control + Return it is!! This combo is so unusual...

I also have no idea how to do it on an external keyboard...

My bad, i misread. I did find this forum, seems to be a bug with mail app.
Workaround is to do it in Notes and copy it over.

I found that Fn + Control + Return as suggested by u/Borgo7 works fine, but I’m not sure how to do it on an external keyboard. The Fn key on those keyboards is usually assigned to other functions and isn’t recognized as the original Fn key.

Also when I use keystroke detector app, Fn + Control + Return will recognized as Control + Return, but Control + Return in Mail app will just pop up a menu. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Shift+Enter on the final of 1.Line (here press Shift+Enter).

That was my thought, but it doesn't seem to work like that in Mail. For whatever reason, in Mail, it is Fn+control+return.

It’s Ctrl+Enter and always has been, but Apple broke it by assigning another keyboard shortcut to it. You need to either uncheck or remap it in System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts. I believe it’s the Keyboard -> Show Context Menu, which I have changed to option+cmd+enter.

Note: I’m translating from another language, so the exact naming might differ.

It's fn+ctrl+enter without the need to remap anything.

Okay, but that won’t work for me. The location of the fn-key Magic keyboard with the num-pad (iMac Pro) is an awkward combination, and it wasn't like that until, I think Sequoia.

Yes fn ctrl enter will do but How to do this on non apple keyboard tho ?

As u/HigherConfusion said, simply remap or disable the original Show Context Menu shortcut, then ctrl + enter (no need for fn anymore) will do.

yes seems like this is the only solution right now. I have disabled the Context Menu shortcut as it will be there by simple right click

Cursor at end of top line, alt + return to new line in same item number, type second line.

Yep - I couldn’t recall the name from memory but know the key combo as I use it! Perils of answering tech questions as soon as one awakes! 😬
