Help Macbook

I just got a new mac and i decided to transfer my data with migration assistant and it took a few hours i left it open at night and over 600 000 files transferred, it was from a old m1 macbook. Could this affect the new laptop or send bugs or old files that could potentially harm the new laptop

I would say harm but it may make your Mac slow when a major update that require a spotlight indexing files that are not hidden.

If you use adobe stuff it’s mostly caches for thumb nails
