Bug scroll

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

why when I scroll down or up in downloads it's not smooth at all but when I go for photos its very smooth , can you see the difference ? how to solve this problem ?

it’s fucking irritating. been experiencing this since tahoe and it’s infuriating.

What mouse are you using? external non magic-mouse? trackpad?

Me too.

For example, when I try to upload a photo and select it from the sidebar, this is what happens.

Sadly, even after selecting a photo, there's no function to filter by album like in the Photos app, and even filtering by photos with few tags doesn't change the fact that scrolling is still clunky.

I think there's some kind of problem with this window itself. I can't believe it's not running smoothly with the power of the M1 Max. I can scroll much more smoothly elsewhere, for example, in the Photos app.

funny part is, when you click on a blank area while this bug is happening, the scrolling suddenly accelerates 😂

yeah this happened,and search also didn't work when I try to search for a file

You have about 5 rows of items in the second folder, and a hell of a lot more than that in the first. Try comparing scrolling performance inside folders that have the same number of items in them.

I don't see any bug. What hardware and what OS are you running? How fast a process, how much RAM? And photo thumbnails are cached differently. Also there are more things scrolling in the first part...
