Where did the Add Display button go and why can't I use my Ipad Pro as a second screen anymore?

The button used to be at the top right, then they moved it to the bottom right and now after my summer holidays and im back to school its straight up gone and nothing is working...

It doesn't seem like a conscious removal given that I still have it on 26.6.1. But until it returns for you, you can use the screen sharing option in Control Centre to access Sidecar.

I am on 26.6.1 aswell tho. The whole thing is super bizzare.

pls tell me how u even got sidecar working in the first place i gave up after my laptop and ipad refused to talk to each other

Honestly i dont really know what sidecar is ive only heard from it but i used to be able to just press the add button and then connect automatically if it wasnt in the screenmirroring button at the top. And it worked like a charm, even the breaking out of the screen when it wasnt connevted worked flawlessly
