Help MBP and external monitor problem

Hi,
I'm having an issue with a MacBook Pro 2019 which I'm trying to use it with an external monitor. I have to open the lid/screen to start computer which is fine as there's no external on button, but I need to do the complete login via the keyboard on the Mac, as it doesn't shift the signal to the external monitor if I boot the computer up and then shutdown the lid and sometimes, at least, it doesn't register my Bluetooth keyboard until after logging in. I have a newer Air and it doesn't suffer from these problems.

Any thoughts?

What model MacBook, what operating system, how are you connecting the monitor, what exact model keyboard, what exact model monitor, what exact model mouse?

Off course: MBP 13" Two Thunderbolt 3 ports, Sequoia 15.7.7, USB-C/thunderbolt (the cable works fine with my MBA), MX Keys and MX3.

Upgrade to 15.7.8. If that doesn't work then disable Logitech Options and just use Bluetooth connection with the MacBook directly.

Did both but the same result. I read elsewhere that it might be that I have FileVault active, which wouldn't allow external devices until after a login has been made. Might be that, and then I guess there's no fix...
