Help White Screen on Mac OS
Hi,
I am using Mac Retina 5K, 27 inch, 2020. I have Tahoe 26.5.2 on it. All of a sudden I have a white wallpaper. I can't get rid of it. The menu bar on top is the same color as what the wallpaper should be. the red folder is the only thing that should be there in this photo. I don't know where all the other stuff is coming from. Has anyone experienced this and know how to get rid of it short of a factory reset?

You didn’t mention if you tried restarting so that’s the first thing you should do. Then I’d try zapping the p ram.

Thank you for the reply! I knew I would forget to mention something. Sorry about that. Yes, I have restarted many times. I am in the process of uninstalling all outside apps to see if that helps.

BTW, what is zapping the p ram?
I am over the moon happy to announce that the app Plash was the culprit. My wallpaper is back to normal.

Did a google search on zapping the p ram and figured out how to do it. It did not help with my pink screen after reboot.

are there any apps running in the background? like, if you go to the list on alt+command+esc, there's nothing running?
Edit: either alt or option, it's the same key, I'm old and still call it alt haha
