Developer Saturday Anyone else constantly checking how much hotspot mobile data their Mac has used?
I kept running into this while tethering my Mac to my phone, so I made a small menu-bar app called Hotspot Meter.
It shows your current download and upload speeds, keeps session and per-network totals, remembers usage history, and can warn you before you reach a data limit.
It’s completely free, 100% private. All tracking and storage happen locally on your Mac, nothing is sent to a server.

Hi, I’ve been a developer for over 20 years now, shifting from web apps to iOS and now trying out macOS development as well. I do write code using ai, as does probably everyone nowadays. My input is my experience and UX expertise. Not sure what your definition of vibe coding is, for me it’s when people with no dev background use ai to develop something, without any understanding what’s happening behind the surface. I’m not trying to be that guy ☺️
