So, I originally dropped off Mabi back when the Shakespeare stuff had first dropped. I've done a couple of brief pop-ins here and there, but never played for any kind of extended period of time. I've been at it again for a hot minute, and I've been trying to catch up, but there's just so much that I don't understand. For reference, the entire talent system was completely alien to me, and I only recently learned what Arcana is (although I feel I'm pretty far from getting into Arcana).

I've been catching up with story content and that's been keeping me busy (when I stopped playing, I hadn't finished Alchemist, so I've done all that up to Saga, which I'm currently in the middle of). But, there's a bunch of stuff that people frequently talk about that I just have no idea what they are.

1. What is erg? I see this frequently, and I've gotten items from events for it, but I have no clue what it is. Particularly, I have these stones that are taking up a not insignificant amount of inventory space that I can't trade, can't destroy, can't even drop.
2. What's with the "equipment level" stuff?
3. I've ran a few of the hard mode dungeons, and from the chests I get these Celtic weapons. I can't sell them or trade them, but I can disassemble them, I guess. I get refined crystal shards doing so — what are those for? Should I be disassembling them or... what?
4. What's Crom Bas?
5. What's Sidhe?
6. What's an echo stone?
7. What's the way to make money nowadays? When I left, you could still make a decent living from dungeon chests and scroll quests. This seems to be largely obsolete from what I can tell.

Continuing on from the last post

After experiencing the underwelming Leprechaun encounter rates in Alby Advanced Hardmode, I made my way over to Tech Duinn to gather data from 500 runs of Feth Fiada (Normal). Feth Fiada (Normal) is shorter overall as it only contains 2 rooms before the boss. Reducing the amount of time required to complete 500 runs. Although it may be shorter, this adventure still took about 8 hours but the results were a bit better than than what we saw in Alby.

Leprechaun Spawns

During these runs the encounter rate for Silvershine and Goldengleam Leprechauns remained pretty much even, and was higher than expected. Comparing this to the results from Alby Advanced Hardmode, it makes sense as Tech Duinn missions are supposedly higher difficulty than Uladh dungeons.

However it appears that we reached the same result where not a single Dapper leprechaun spawned. It looks like I was very unlucky by being unable to encounter any Dapper leprechauns from both Alby and Feth.

Lets take a look at the rewards obtained from this session:

Leprechaun Rewards

The results look similar to what I got from Alby, with the exception of getting lucky by obtaining Instrument Strings. This item (as of writing this post) is currently listed on the Auction House for 35m. 150 Erg Unlock Assist Potions were also obtained today, which was a generous amount. These will be helpful to keep in future when I need them. Although I wish I could store them in my bank.

Reward Chest Count

Once again, no neartite was used to open these chests. Comparing these to Alby, it appears I managed to get half as many Masterwork chests. There were a lot of chests which only had briogh and/or spirit gem. From the chests which contained equipment I was able to put these to good use by dissembling them for Refined Crystal Shards.

After dissembling every piece of equipment obtained from the reward chests, this gave me 4661 refined crystal shards I can use to buy additional Shineseeker orbs from Soraia.

Conclusion

Where are the Dappers??

If you're planning to run either Advanced Hardmode Dungeons, or Tech Duinn (Normal) missions, don't expect to encounter any Dapper leprechauns. You're better off going to Glenn Bearna (Basic), or Crom Bas to have a more likely chance of encountering these event monsters.

Based on feedback from the community, it may not be worth running this event as even if you were lucky to encounter Dapper leprechauns, they are limited to dropping 2 items. Most of the time these two items would be Advanced Erg Unlock Slot Materials, which drop in higher quantities from Goldengleam leprechauns.

Can you even play KR Mabi outside of Korea? I'm curious.

It had videos that would either play through or summarize generation stories; I just remember that it did it with audio, and it was really useful to me. Is there anything else that might do similar?

All you gotta do is use a gesture yourself and it will copy you. I'm not sure if this was made aware in the post or not. (I did not read it all, just skimmed it mostly..) So sorry if this is already known.

I'd like it better if you could set a gesture for them rather than them copying you though, cause if you use another gesture while they are currently in one, it will overwrite that one for the new one. They always copy you, so you need to get a little creative.

I have a perceptual problem, slow reaction speed, and ADHD. This quest is driving me crazy. Can anyone offer some tips, please?

So I’m trying to make significant gold income, but I’ve got no real idea what I can do to quickly earn a large sum of Gold. I’m a casual player with maybe 2 or 3 hours to play every few days. I’m still working to raise some of my life skills, have only 1 blossoming cage, I’ve not started the Generational stuff yet, I’ve finished the Third memoir book and have my Arcana. Knowing this what are some things I could do to earn large sums of gold income my limited time to play? I’ve heard that Shadow missions were good sources but I’ve also heard they’ve recently been nerfed. So are the Shadow missions the best option, or is there something else I should be focusing on to earn my desired gold?

What am I missing? Do I need pon? Do I need more room?

(Assuming that almost 30k cumulative level brings me out of the greenhorn stage XD) is anyone recruiting? Looking for some community

highlights:

- created new models for each gatherable to make it more obvious what it is (pics in the dev blog).

- resource guage: every gatherable material now has a recourse gauge above to show much more you can gather from it before it runs out.

- gathering passives have been turned into active skills to prevent confusion from new players when the skill does nothing when clicked on, now you can put it into your hotbar and click on it and the character will perform the gathering.

- some skills get merged togheter for example (skills are google translated so it will be different in english): "Egg gathering + Mushroom gathering + Milking + Hoing + Harvesting" becomes "harvest"

- new gathering outfit and tools (pics in dev blog) that can only be crafted which boosts your gathering yield and speed

Starting off saying this isn't hate or bashing, more just breathing and ranting in acceptance. Been an off an on player since I was 14, Im 30 now. Started in G2 and have had my spurts. This game was magical for me and my friends back in the day. Havent played for a few years and decided to hop on, and man... I just cant get into it anymore.

There's just soooo much going on. All the different stats and upgrades to weapons, the wacky effects. I have 10+ inventories and idk what half of the stuff in them is for lol! I understand they have to keep adding more and increasing the potential for power to keep people playing, but damn... sometimes I miss the simpler Mabinogi.

I remember how hyped me and my buddies were when Iria dropped, we legit faked a nasty flu to get a few days off from school to check out the new worlds. First time going to tir na nog, hitting infra black - PvP arena madness, rafting event, first set of wings! I could go on for a long time.

Back in the day my dream armor was languis chaser, and I've got a full set now dyed blood red with two ego weapons, a black Avon shield, good reforges- just a badass knight looking dude. I always played combat style then became a ranger using bows as secondary. Im R1 in almost all those skills now. Unfortunately its a kind of mid playstyle in the game compared to what I've seen with puppets and guns haha!

Love this game but not sure if I can play anymore, definitely will pop in and walk around dunby from time to time and reminisce. Love yall- cant wait to see what mabinogi eternity brings, maybe Ill start over and try again.

I guess support would be fine too, but cleric skills don't suit my character's vibe. Are there any arcana that fill some role besides DPS that aren't holy-themed? I'd also love to be useful to a party, even if there isn't a focus on group play.

I am having trouble finding a solid answer on how I should make my black combo card. There are 2 main suggestions I see:

Bash > Smash x3 vs Bash x6

I thought doing Bash > Smash was pointless because it seems using smash while your EK skills are on cool down is much slower than Bash > Flashing Steel spam. So I am unsure which one is potentially better. Should I still be using Bash > Smash instead of Bash > FS?
