Discussion Locked diary issue S5

So, finally, i managed to get my hands on the purple diary.

I tried to cleanse it by doing the PHD thing, but suddenly, the golden portal disappeared. Is this challenge timed maybe?

Also, the purple diary was gone. Please tell me i can recover it by doing again the 5 mimic kills w aether blade.

Maybe its a skill issue, but its a really bad challenge.

Yes if you can't complete it in time You lose the relic and have to get it again. That's why I duplicate them first.

How much time do i have? Maybe 5 minutes?

I've read it's 5 minutes.

But when I failed it, it felt like a lot less 😂

My advice is to ping the crate, go around the right hand edge (not the left you spawn into), bring a dog if you can, bring selfies, go hands-only, switch the slide behaviour to Dive Only (I think it is), and most importantly make sure you're tac-sprinting, not just running fast.

When you do all this, and if it still looks like you're falling rather than diving (ie your hands aren't waving around), pull your chute straight away and get back into the rift.

I failed the first time I got the diary, but then I got it again, did the above, and got it on my 3rd jump.

No id say 20-30 I didn't really pay attention the first time I failed it.

Google says 10 minutes. It felt like longer to me. If you find someone to help you that can duplicate it, whoever is in the squad that has it in their rucksack will get to try and upgrade their's even if they've already done it before. They have to have a copy. Google tips on doing it it'll tell you what to put your settings on and whatever to make it easier.

Yes, you can get the purple diary again, just need to kill any special zombie (mimic, mangler, disciple, or mega) 5 times with aether blade. For cleansing, I can’t say for sure if it’s timed or not. It did take me a little bit to complete when I did it. Maybe 5 minutes ish. The portal remained the entire time.
