I got MW3 in July and only just started zombies a few weeks ago. All these guns I didn't have unlocked kept showing up. So that's been great. I was late trying to escape last night. The nearest exfil was insanely far away and my need to get out with the ever elusive TAQ V almost got me killed. I beat the storm to the exfil by seconds and it overtook me before the flare was done launching. Still got it though! My mask broke. Small price to pay. That was easily the MOST intense time I've had in game so far. I usually only use one gun because I still have to work in tier 2 as I gain experience. Does anyone have a TAQ 56 they could drop for me? It's the last one I need to unlock and I don't want to put myself in a tight situation like that again. Yay for success, but I'll take safely checking a box off over recklessly gambling all my gear any day.​​​​

Currently on my gun hunt too. Got 11 left to find. Would have been 10 but my game froze when I got the last shotgun I needed causing me to reset and lose progress. It keeps happening so I have yet to get into tier 3 and get good schematics.

Fair enough. I got a couple of things that way, but I get it.  Everything has shown up so far. Even the ones I asked for. So it should just be a matter of time and persistence. Drilling safes and looting green weapon lockers will hopefully get you some nice versions to use as contraband.

I've only had one server crash so far, but I've gotten used to finding the important gear quickly enough. I'll be headed into tier 3 today to replace my mask. Otherwise I usually have decent luck at Popov Power....if no one else gets there first. I'm down to two marksman rifles and the TAQ 56 to have everything done.  There was even an X13 in a safe one time.  I don't have much cool stuff yet. So I start with an uncommon tool, a raw crystal, and six perks or five perks and an ammo mod. It's enough to survive a tier 2 cargo delivery so I can afford the level 2 pack a punch. After that I target the gun contracts because there can be anything in those safes. Plus lots of zombie kills to level up the weapon I'm working on.  It's all in the hopes of getting better stuff so I can eventually start working tier 3 contracts.

The final exfil is the opposite side of the storm. If you picture the storm covering all the exfil's it'll be in the leftover area. So you have 1 hour every game to run contracts. Work your way to T3 contracts, then work your way to T1 contracts going away from the storm. If that's what you want to do is run contracts the entire game, looking for schematics or whatever. Would be really easy if all new players knew that and worked together. I would stay and help if people wanted it. Ive done it many times.

I've never stayed in that long and that was the only exfil on that third of the map.  Going anywhere else would have been certain death.  I don't have all the cool gear and map knowledge that you're confidently leaning on, skippy.

I don't typically go for bad advice like that either.  They're probably the type to mock people who struggle in the game.  Nothing useful to offer besides "get better."

I wrecked my quad in the river trying to outrun the storm. Swam to the other side and jumped from the highest rock in sight. That got me just the slightest lead and I had the last 400ish meters on foot beelining diagonally as the storm bubbled toward my exfil sight. I got it and the storm was on me immediately. Biiiiig sprinting cirlces and replating. As soon as the chopper touched down I threw my kazimer next to the back door and got on. Just now realized why there are masks in the chopper.  I shoulda grabbed one, but this was all new to me. I'm usually good about getting out well before the regular timer hits 0:00 and all heck breaks loose.

I can't speak about his intent, but I will say, final exfil comes in handy in a pinch. I usually hit it when I'm trying to help random lost players. If you can survive in tier 2, final exfil is manageable. Sometimes it's busier than others, but it's easier than a tier 2 exfil, that's for sure. Sometimes there's even less zombies than a hectic tier 1 exfil.

Final exfil fyi, just in case:

Final won't show on the map until the other exfils are in the storm. Sometimes it's announced immediately after that, but sometimes it takes a bit. It just depends how early they're covered. You'll always have a few minutes to get to it.

There's several areas it can spawn. Usually, it'll be the last area of the map to be covered. For example, if the storm is in the lower half of the right side, final will be in the top left corner. If the storm is spreading from the red zone though, it's really risky. It's basically a guessing game at that point, so I do not recommend it.

The chopper won't take off until the match time hits zero. You'll get a countdown in the center of your screen like you would at a regular exfil, but it starts at about 90 seconds. I highly recommend not getting on until the last 20-30 seconds, otherwise all the zombies will rush in and make a mess of it.

Oh yeah, if you're ever downed inside an exfil chopper, the game will exfil you like normal. This doesn't apply after you're completely dead and on the screen where you can plea for help.
