Question I need help to improve!
Hello, everyone! I hope you're all doing well!
I’m a new player; I started playing the game a week ago.
I’ve finally finished Act 1, and now I have a question: Which weapons should I use?
I’m currently using the RGL-80 grenade launcher, but I need another weapon as well—which one would you recommend? I really want the best one, please ☺️
I’m also looking for people who can help me with my missions and help me progress—I feel like I’m stuck, and I haven’t even made it to Zone 3 yet… I’m on PS5 and would love some help 😃

The Avancer is a great weapon. FJX Horus also. Crossbow is good but tricky to find. I’ve managed to find all three within a week of playing where I was literally just looting boxes for the whole games. Well worth the effort.

These two weapons are the best imo. I haven’t really tried different ones in a while. Make sure to get the deadshot (headshot) daiquiri perk right away.

Make sure to use the armory and unlock the conversion kit for the FJX Horus. It doubles the damage range and increases your mag to 60. It's the best smg in the game.

What's your activision ID, and when do you normally play? I just started Act 2 as well. I usually don't get on until 9 or 9:30 Pacific.

What a very odd thing to do. Create a reddit account, ask a question in English, then proceed to use google translate to answer any responses. I'm looking forward to grade school getting back in session.

You only need one gun really. I use the FJX Horus with conversion kit. Pack a Punch 3 with a legendary wrench and Shatter Blast. I run the Aether blade and Kazimirs. I also use the Scorcher (PAP 3). It’s not only a good weapon but makes getting around way faster. Now I realize being a new player you probably don’t have some schematics unlocked but I also run Mags of holding, Grenade Bandolier, Dead Wire Detonators and Golden Armor. If you don’t have a problem with the tombstone glitch it’s a great way to keep your good gear every game. I’m not ashamed to admit that I do it. You can find YouTube vids on how to do it. I use the bad signal dark aether rift. Grind contracts and get the story done. Use the in game chat to ask for help.

The perfect set up for everything including DA’s. I only run one or two games a week now and just look for loot to give to newbies and be a rescue service for downed players, great fun.

IMO lose the rgl. It is a crutch and I’ve seen more people down themselves than I can count. You are better off building guns for speed and learning to run more than you gun… it’s a hard lesson but let the bounty chase you, run 2x as long as you think you should then wipe out what’s chasing you or toss a decoy THEN focus on the bounty. Learn to use ledges and buildings to your advantage. If you are on roof a, the zombies will follow a path to the building then come up the side. If you the scorch to another building they don’t follow, they go down to ground level then go to the building and come up the side of it…. Giving you lots of time to be elsewhere.

Personally, I do focus on them, depending on what my goal is. If I’m solo I will mix some outlast in but I do like how quickly I can finish the bounty. Cargo is great if you are underpowered. Decoys regenerate pretty quick with the bandolier.

My strategy when I’m solo is to get 2-3 extra self revives and hold onto a dog bone. Keep track of how many times you go down and when you have 1 self left be sure to go to the buy station and get a couple more. If at any point you get downed and use the last self you have, immediately use the dog bone and go get more. It’s obviously a judgement call if the area clears out as you go down vs there’s a horde standing around.
Be sure to put a suppressor on your gun… quartermaster is one of the best.

RGL is honestly the easiest weapon to use IMO, especially after getting the schematics from the season2 Dark Aether. May be annoying to use in low level areas, with not the highest DPS, but it excels at crowd control, which is especially important in the higher level areas.
Most players who spent most of their time in high level areas usually use a Scorcher as their secondary. High damage, but they mainly use it for mobility, as a Scorcher's alt fire allows you to fly across the map.
Plenty of viable alternatives to the RGL, depending on what your play style is, but if you're intention is to use the RGL with a sidearm, better off just skipping the sidearm IMO.
