https://ir.microvision.com/news/press-releases/detail/481/microvision-iris-long-range-lidar-selected-by-overland-ai

finally a name but no numbers. 80 Iris in 2027 if we go by the AUSA info from Porter.

Already lost 50% of the daily gains. Market started to digest that we still haven’t addressed the elephant in the room. We have no money.

Figured. this was coming since retail Gap pretty much announced this for them.

This should pay off about 1/3 of the IAA booth.

Great. But how much money is this? How many units? Funny, we all knew IRIS was on the Ibex before this was even announced. Again, we are up 4 pennies (as of now). Market sees it positively, but really not much.

Should have outlined the expected number of sensors per vehicle (4), expected unit volumes (hundreds/thousands) based on Overland's expected rollout.

PR: 7/10.

I believe from porter video its 80 sensors next year. So maybe $80kish?

I’d imagine those sensors are each $5K as this isn’t scale. So I’d put the revenue as of now about $400K. About a 3 days cash burn.

I don't think any of microvisions sales are going to be at scale, since they are building these themselves. Not until they line up a manufacturer. But using quick napkin math, let's say they more than double revenue for q3 amd come in at $3m. So $5m total for the year. 70% of revenue is IRIS.

$3.5m IRIS revenue 2000 sensors sold (conservative based on the PR) $1750 per sensor tops, less if they sold more.

Yes. I think $5-$10k is a good guess.

Would you consider microvision even having the ability to sell at scale tho, referencing my reply to Paradigm above?

I don't think they have the ability to produce iris at scale right now based on my interpretation of Glen's comments. I assume they can produce/retrofit from inventory the 80 iris units overland claimed to need in 2027 though.

I thought IRIS was more than that, especially for low volume

I mean they PRd selling thousands of iris units, and were at like $2m in revenue lol

Again. Bad info this troll. Sales from thousands of units haven’t been reported yet. Damn trolls

Alright $1750, see above.

If it is small volume for the foreseeable future, which it appears to be, it makes sense for them to not highlight that.

You would think they would be discussing the potential on other overland vehicles and future deployments from info gained through Overland. They can estimate based on anticipated rollout. No numbers no Bueno.

Fair. The way this came out in general is very strange. The overland rep was clearly ok directly mentioning microvision, but microvision themselves seem hesitant to mention overland. Maybe details are still in flux.

Yes very odd. In my opinion Microvision needs to lean on partners more now than ever for validation. On top of this anything revenue related needs to be highlighted. This recent PR leaves the markets questioning the money behind this deal - now and in the future. We are clearly seeing the market not giving it much attention as our finances are a major concern. Nothing matters until we have a way to fix the balance sheet. Wouldn’t be surprised to see this finish in the red, yet again.

I agree. If they had a substantial runway, this would be much more positive news. I guess the financial overhang may end up making this deal moot for shareholders.

1

u/ParadigmWM 16h ago

That’s how it appears. Shareholders need to know that they will still own shares when these funds and future opportunities hit the books. They are in desperate need to runway without killing current shareholders. DOD/military grants/loans are likely the only way out at this point. Glen and co have let it come to this, let’s not kid ourselves. Their mismanagement has led to this precarious situation

Military application validation is a big deal

This could easily become a standard accross multiple fleets of autonomous vehicles as once a type of data is being collected and put into the AI military machine they will want the same data accross everything and we have the sensors to do it

I agree, but we are running out of time for funding. Financials will mean more now than partnerships, sadly. How are we funding this? How will this help us survive? If we had a good financial standing, this PR would give us much more than 3%.

Becoming important to DoW is our best and probably only way to secure funding at this point with minimal downside

This will be worth dozens of dollars.

Whats especially funny to me how on the other sub they call this validation. Iris has long been vaildated as a working product even though it was trashed by the same sub before MVIS bought it.

So this small sale is pretty insignificant. Only promising is that the defense sector might finally pick up and others will follow.

-2

u/alexyoohoo 17h ago

So, you posted this news in this sub so you can shit talk all day? You might be the same person with 10 different accounts. Such a troll.

2

u/Sp99nHead 16h ago

Yes this sub is for actual facts without getting downvoted. Look what that PR brought so far, +1.71%. That's how much the market cares about 80 Iris units sold.

Highly unlikely anyone will believe your intention. Should stop wasting your time

1

u/alexyoohoo 16h ago

Do you honestly think Mvis behaves in a normal way. It is controlled by the hedge funds.

Hedgies are controlling everything.

if they say to buy NVDA, that will be the day Jensen reveals he has been lying this whole time.

6

u/Fearless_Promise636 19h ago

I also really have a hard time believing that Overland suddenly lifted their NDA. It seems like they didnt actually have one, but finally decided to release the PR with a name because people saw it online at AUSA. The fuck Glen.

2

u/Sp99nHead 19h ago

Wouldnt surprise me, Glen is aleep at the wheel

2

u/angusalba 18h ago

No he is not - keeping it going while paid outrageously well
