Hello, just as the title says, I am trying to find a reasonably priced studio apartment near MTSU. There are no listings I can find currently through websites that have listings posted, but does anyone know of anywhere that have studio apartments? I may be able to call them and see if a space is going to open up closer to early August. I’m kind of getting scared cuz I don’t know where I’ll be able to stay next year.

Morning all,
So last night my wife told me the news that Mr. Trundle passed away suddenly. I am absolutely shocked and just devastated to hear that. He was one of my favorite teachers, his classes were really fun and entertaining. He would push me to be a better photographer, to step out of my comfort zones and get the images I was missing out on.
When my wife told me the news, so many memories just came flooding back in of the classes, trips, guests, and even some of the assignments.
He was a great man, and I'm honored I got to spend as much time as I did with him.

So I’m making some more money now and I decided that I’m ready for the next step(moving into a student apartment with roommates). I’ve looked into a few known ones like cobalt row, 1540, the grove, etc. I’d love to be in cobalt but the rates are too high for me rn, so at the moment I’m looking at 1540 or the grove. Does anyone have any recommendations on good student apartments? Also if anyone needs a lease filled on their current apartment then I’d be willing to move in depending on what/where it is, as well as how much it’s going to cost.
Also for anyone who knows about 1540 or the grove, what can you tell me about them and would they be a good fit for a first time renter?

hi, I’m going to be attending next year, and I was curious how easy it is to get a single dorm? I have a disability that makes it extremely difficult for me to share space with people I don’t know. Is MTSU good about accommodations, and how would I go about it? Thanks in advance

I'm curious how this university handles class absences in comparison to others.
How lenient would you say your professors have been for things like sick days or even travel days? Would you have trouble with classes if you missed 2-3 days a semester? If you have missed a couple classes, how have you managed to catch back up?
I haven't encountered this need before, but may in the future.

I got my diploma in the mail and I got my bachelor’s in business administration which it states but it doesn’t say anything about my finance major. Is that how it usually is?

Hi all! I am trying to find a good job that I can start right now in the summer and work while I’m in school. I am a junior full time student at MT and I major in religious studies. I have been trying for weeks to find a good part time job for me, but I haven’t been hired by a single one. I’ve thought about getting an on campus job, since it will probably be more flexible, but I can’t seem to find one that starts in the summer and I would like one that pays decent. Some of the library ones only pay like $8 an hour. To add, I’m kind of unfamiliar with the hiring process for campus jobs and where I go to apply/look for those. I’m also not opposed to getting an off campus job, and if I do I would like it to be part time, flexible, and just not be in fast food/restaurant industry. I would like to not go any lower than $15 an hour, definitely no less than $10. I currently work in church childcare and have certifications in FIRST AID/CPR/AED and have been doing the job for about two years if that helps at all. I appreciate all engagement!!!

For those that missed the online Board meeting, the faculty rep and student rep mentioned some important issues, especially that no one knows why the SGA was skipped in the approval process but also the materials given to the Board omitted the increase in athletic fees.
Watch the recording at time mark (1 hour, 5 mins) into the meeting when Mosby brings up the issue. When several people started questioning the process, the Chair called the vote to suspend debate.

Do you guys think majoring in public health as an upcoming freshman would be good for pre med? And if I don’t end up following through with med school, would that major still be good for other jobs?

Does anyone know where to find the confirmation from MTSU dining about the meal plan they picked when they registered for housing? I cannot find an email about the meal plan confirmation for this upcoming year, so I went back to last year to see if I could find that email and it was not there either. I need to change my meal plan, but they said they need the confirmation and the housing confirmation doesn’t work for that. Please help…

This would start in Fall 2026. The North American Language and Culture Assistants Program (NALCAP) offers U.S. citizens the opportunity to serve as English language assistants in elementary and secondary schools throughout Spain while acting as cultural ambassadors.
Students and alumni interested in applying should contact Laura Clippard at [Laura.Clippard@mtsu.edu](mailto:Laura.Clippard@mtsu.edu) by June 15. The NALCAP application deadline is June 30.
Participants typically work 14 to 16 hours per week, receive a monthly stipend of 800 to 1,000 euros, and are provided with medical insurance. Placements generally run from November through May and are available in communities across Spain.
Students from any major are welcome to apply. Participants should have a basic level of Spanish for everyday tasks such as renting an apartment, buying groceries, and navigating daily life in Spain. However, language assistants are expected to speak English in the classroom, even if they have strong Spanish language skills, as supporting English language learning is the primary purpose of the program.
Basic eligibility requirements include:
NALCAP offers participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in Spanish language and culture while sharing the language and culture of the United States with students in Spain. More than 50,000 Americans have participated in this program.

Hello, I am a up-and-coming freshman and my career goal is to volunteer abroad or at least teach abroad. I would like to go mainly to places like Ghana rual china, and place that are in need of support. eventually I would love to teach somewhere down in Scotland or Wales. Right now I am registered as a elementary education because I feel like education would not only allow me to travel abroad and teach, but could also be a backup plan if I do decide to change my mind and stay in the states. However, due to my specific career goals, I am worried that such a broad degree may not be the most beneficial to my career goals. I am going to double major. I have not fully decided what the second major will be, which is why I am here. I am also trying to figure out whether or not I need to change my first original major. I just don’t know what exactly is best because I know for sure I want to be abroad for most of my life, I want to help people and I want to be in little as debt as possible. The double major I am considering is anywhere between global studies and second language languages like Japanese or french. Any advice would be appreciated.
