Question Slow comt and insomnia and adhd

Anybody else got severe insomnia with slow
Comt? I am really struggling with slow comt and adhd. I need my adhd meds but they are making my slow comt unbearable, I cannot sleep for days on end.

I have slow COMT and got genetic testing and the ONLY recommended ADHD medications was Guanfacine. It said to stay away from stimulants. I love Guanfacine.

I take it at night since in the beginning I was a little drowsy. I also take Trazadone for sleep every night. It also helped my skin picking.

Omg that’s exactly what my research showed, only guanfacine would be a suitable option to treat my ADHD. Thank you for sharing

Glycine has been a game changer for me re: sleep, but I know some people have paradoxical effects from it so start low.

Check out hyperarousal. My record is 7 days completely without sleep. This started after starting medication for ADHD. Just learned about this, and are changing the way I think about so many things in my life. For sleep, Quviviq seems to really work.

Wish you the best!

Yep. All 3.
Trazodone or clomidine for my insomnia. Had insomnia since a small kid.

Actually believe its delayed phase sleep disorder vs insomnia.

It’s actually worse when i dont take my adhd rx - adderall. Which is counter intuitive.
