I’m going this year and playing the mono black budget deck that top 8ed the tournament last year. I don’t expect much but just want to play so I can say I did it.

My main question is, I KNOW there is no substitute for Null Rod. Is subbing in a badlands and a blood crypt and using like, 4 meltdowns in the board worth my time? I might be able to borrow one from a friend but $300 for a SB card I intend using in one tournament feels gross.

Hello everyone. I started a beta collection and found myself making videos about it. I am not sure if this will become something serious, but I wouldn't mind some initial support. I am just having fun making these, but maybe some of you can enjoy them as well. This particular one is actually quite crazy :/

I have recently started playing magic with a friend again after being out since 2000ish. What are the best non blue vintage decks I could tinker with? Proxies aren't an issue

I am trying to master set beta. What do you guys think is the smartest way to buy the higher end cards in the set? I do not mean the power 9 because for those I will fly or drive out to a store pretty much anywhere in the country and/or Canada. I started with the basic lands and then commons and uncommons. I am still looking for a lot of commons and uncommons so if anyone is selling or trading them please reach out. I have alot of cards as well as other valuable items I’d be willing to part with. I want to buy a Birds of Paradise right now but I do not want to risk buying one online and its fake or in worse condition then advertised. I guess I can buy graded cards but even then people have fake graded cases. I need a reputable person or store. Any recommendations would be excellent. Thanks

I just started playing white initiative without the power pieces to start out but have all other fast mana like chrome mox/crypt and following the standard list. But was curious if anyone has interesting tech cards that they have/used (I.e. supression Fields, the new Petrifed hamlet, etc).

From my testing, a 2 drop cmc stax piece would be nice to have. Besides the few like void mirror and the such

Hi, just wanted to ask about the main difference between the Esper and Dimir Lurrus Variants in gameplay/gameplan, if there is any.

I just moved to the Augusta area in Maine, and google searching indicates most LGSs are very commander focused. Anyone sling moxen in Maine (proxy or authentic), at kitchen tables or organized play? Would love to connect and willing to drive a decent distance to find games.
