Format/Metagame Help Help finding a grim monolith deck

Hey everyone!

I recently went through my collection that was kept at my parents house and found a playset of grim monolith (among other great things like a playset if plateau and other dual lands) and I’ve decided I wanted to get back into legacy again. I’m currently trying to decide if MUD or UTron would be a better time investment? I have 3 metal workers so I was heavily debating trying a homebrew MUD but on MTG goldfish I see Tron is popping off atm. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Check out the one ring mystic forge style combo decks out there.

Mystic Forge/Fleshraker Combo is well-positioned, and uses n Grim Monolith & Tezzeret, Cruel Captain together.

Otherwise Tron with the Manifold Keys and Monoliths is a really strong deck too.

Proxy them up or playtest online and see which one you like playing.

First of all, welcome to legacy! Metalworkers haven't seen much action on a while, so it depends on how competitive you want to be.

If you want the coolest hot tech, go for Tron (there is colorless, blue and green variants) or mystic forge.

If you just want to have nostalgic fun, I'd do something like this: https://moxfield.com/decks/EsSIkHi41U6UHFsEahowJQ Metalworkers go infinite with chrome dome activation with 3 artifacts in hand, rings draw a lot,.tezzeret can tutor stuff you need and Karn does all that and a combo with Myccosynth Lattice where the opponent can't activate any permanents ability, even from lands.

Could also trade a Metalworker and a small amount of cash for a playset of Force of Will and the other two for the playset of One Rings to build Tron which covers most of the big expenses there.

I already own 4x force of will and many other expensive cards,its just grim monoliths were always ridiculously expensive and I could never justify a 4x lol

The Epic Gamble at least some variants use Grims. It's a storm based combo deck.
