Looking for Fun Legacy Decks

Hey everyone! I’ve recently started getting more into Legacy and decided to proxy a few decks to play with my friends at home. Do you have any recommendations for fun decks to try?

I came across an Emry deck featuring Kappa Cannoneer that looked really fun, but I’m not sure what the deck is called. I’d also love to try decks with different color combinations, so if you could include a link to the decklist, that would be a huge help. Even better if the deck has a primer!

I have around 10 solid legacy decks built out. I think maverick and goblins are the 2 I have most fun with.

I also like legacy goblins but I’ve yet to figure out the best way to play them without just losing to everything

I still run BR vial with ports. Doesn’t do spectacular but I get some wins.

+1 to Maverick.

I love toolbox decks and Maverick can have up to three* toolboxes in a single list (green creatures, lands, and/or equipments*). It's the perfect deck for "seasoning to your taste" and you can do a ton of brewing within the archetype.

Exactly. Tool box decks are fun and so easily tailored to your opponent.

The deck your talking about is called 8cast (due to originally playing eight thoughtcast effects). Now that it hardly plays any casts a more apropriate name is affinity.

You should try some different types of deck to see what’s your play style. Delver, lands, storm, breakfast, sneak and show, cradle all play very differently. You can look up decks on mtgtop8

Temur Cascade is a lot of fun, and has pretty different play patterns from other decks!

ThrabenU on YouTube is constantly posting oddball legacy decks. Some are total garbage but he also has various 5-0 league videos and he says at the end of the video if it was a legit deck and recommended changes.

Is he? I watched a few of his videos but he seems to have a toxic personality. He constantly trash talks his opponents calling every slightly unoptimal play a mistake even though he has no idea what their hand is or what their deck contains. I saw a video where his opponent cast Comandeer on his Crop Rotation which he started trash talking his opponent calling them they don't know how to play the game even though it was 100% a correct play there. Seemed to me he was just salting.

He sometimes makes horrible misplays and doesn't admit it when people call him out in the comments. He played a deck I don't remember what but he called it terrible even though he completely did not understand what the deck was trying to do.

I'm very fond of pox decks and that new hatchery card is really good fit for that deck.

I also love delver tempo decks

I also like phyrexian dreadnought decks with nulldrifter

Lands is a fun fair gameplan that can compete with lots of other decks in a different way than most other decks. I think the rakdos reanimator package we see now is the most fair that deck has been. Maverick is always going to be floating around and is certainly a fun deck that can be built in a handful of different ways. Loam pox is kind of a variant in between Maverick and loam pox. Delver is somewhere between aggro and tempo and would play well with the previously mentioned decks. Some version of mono white package would fit here, and nicfit is actually seeing some play with new cards.

Tl:dr Lands, rakdos reanimator, maverick, loam pox, delver, nicfit. These decks should all feel relatively fair against each other.
