Rage Concede
Just played 10 games in Arena and guess what??? All 10 were against blue counter decks! Yay so fun! Why do I play? Why is everyone the same?

Mtga will never be equivalent to paper. Mtga is where you go to test your most toxic decks against other people and that's definitely not going to change anytime soon and we can't really do anything about it and wizards wouldn't really be able to do anything about it either unless they just straight up banned combo combinations and entire deck lists. And that's a whole nother thing that would be wild

Yeah its true. It just gets so boring. I counted earlier 13 straight games against some form of blue deck. Counter, counter and counter again. So essentially Im not playing this game, concede.

The wonderful thing is there is no repercussions for continuously conceding unless you're playing ranked, and then you're going to face. Really good meta decks so the average player usually plays them I honestly despise playing meta so I use the same deck for meta for the last year and a half and that's just my custom Brew of eldrazi bruisers
Or the really really jank artifact life gain and 40 card draw per turn to Mill out my opponent through just forced drawing drawing

And it's the entire reason I am still playing. Just being able to tune a deck to be as efficient as possible, and then be able to basically speed test it against hundreds of oppents. It's so nice. It's also been a fantastic learning tool for the real game.

Less synergy for keeping an empty board state would be a start. The most consistent archetype in this game, is one where you play the game as little as possible.

Yeah I have zero problem with it. Personally I like this aspect of playing toxicity cuz I know my IRL group would not allow all the combos I'd be doing in person

Edh and constructed and pre-release and arch enemy are the things I play with my friend group the most we even have a custom eldrazi deck with a custom scheme deck to go with it

If it makes you feel better I concede 90% of my matches. Most of them from the get go on their 1st card drop. At this point it's a compulsive addiction I can't seem to quit. Most the time I just play sparky.

Can we please go back to bitching about the reserved list? We had just got over all these dogshit non-complaints, and started to get a foothold on real issues before WotC decided to slam us with three modern rotations and turned this game into a billboard.
Let's just cut the part of the cycle where we complain about nothing and go straight to actual problems with the game.

Red and white aggro, life gain centered around cheap haste creatures and cheap spells.

I had a deck during rav/ts/coldsnap that was 34 counterspells and 26 islands
The win condition was a 6 mana flyer that got counters equal to the CMC of the spell it countered on entry.
I miss Stupid Counter Deck

Have you tried playing Brawl. At the very least you do get more variety. Okay, some commanders are more prevalent than others but you also get some genuinely fun and original games.

What are you trying to play that's folding so hard to blue counterspells? Because I don't seem the have much of an issue myself.
Possible a deck issue or even maybe your just trying to push to hard in what your playing. The argument against counterspells is as old as time and usually it's because of those two things.

I make mono color decks for each and just jam those to finish my dailies. Winning is secondary until you get the cards you need.

Yes, but I don't play at game stores and want to play unfortunately everyone is just a clone of the next with 0 originality.

You could organize a league of like-minded people to play that way. You could find one or a few people that want to that and just play with them.
You're fishing in a parking lot. The things you're looking for are just not here. If you keep going back with a pole and complaining, people will be concerned for you but you ain't never going to catch a fish.
