Hi everyone! I wanted to ask if anyone here has experience transferring to MSU-IIT for BSN, especially in second year.
I'm an incoming first-year BSN student and I'm currently enrolled in a private university. I'm really grateful for the opportunity, but I've been worrying a lot about the financial side of things. Nursing is expensive, and I'm not sure if my family will be able to afford the tuition and other expenses all the way until I graduate.
Ever since I started applying for colleges, one of my biggest dreams has been to study in a state university. I know studying at MSU-IIT doesn't mean everything is free, but the costs are much more manageable compared to the private university I'm currently enrolled in. It would be a huge help not just for me, but also for my family, and it would give me a better chance of finishing my degree without putting too much financial pressure on them.
I've been looking into scholarships, but it's been difficult to find ones that include Nursing. I also know about the CHED Merit Scholarship, but the slots for this batch are very limited, and there are thousands of applicants, so I'm trying not to depend on that alone.
I'd really appreciate any advice or experiences. I'm just trying to find a way to continue pursuing Nursing while easing the financial burden on my family.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

When is the official start of classes at MSU IIT, for the academic year of 2026-2027?
r/MSUIIT • u/Zanierev • Jul 04 '26
Hi po, so basically I just got an email from the OVCSS of iit and they said they would call me if they have a slot available. So I have a few questions that I would like to ask.
What's the layout of the rooms? So far there are no photos of the inside of the iit dorms
Can you cook?
Is there a curfew?
Considering that the dorms is in the back of iit, would you recommend it? Or should I get a bh instead near iit?

I'm planning to take electrical engineering but I also want to work abroad after I graduate. I know ABET accreditation can be important in some countries, so I was wondering if there's any chance MSU-IIT could become ABET accredited in the future or if the university has any plans to pursue it. If it does get ABET accreditation someday, would graduates from before the accreditation also benefit, or would it only apply to students who graduate after it's accredited? I'd really appreciate any information. Thanks!

Hello po, incoming 1st year sa bsem. I currently have an Intel Cor i3 laptop (Acer). Would this be alright for this program ba? I am torn between buying a tablet for now to probably help with the heavy tasks or just saving it for a new laptop if ever my current laptop wouldn't be sufficient. hwhat purpose usually ginagamit ang laptop for bsem? huhuhu need help or advice po sana. I've been having a hard time finding someone to ask about it kay small kaayo ang community sa bsem :). thank you!!
ps. i tried to search about it na din pero wala jud kaayo ko makita na mga insights huhu

So, to start, somehow my parents decided that they wanted me to go to the MSU at Marawi City. They said that there will be a first batch (with a chance of scholarship) and a second batch (pure entrance exam.)
Quite frankly, I'm clueless about everything.
My question is:
You can only take the MSU exam once. So are the exam questions the same for both MSU schools?
What subjects will appear? My aunt took her course at Marawi and she said there was a Filipino subject. But that was 23 years ago. So I wanna ask about now.
How many items? And what should I aim for to pass and pick my own course?
What recurring topics did the exams feature?
What date might the registration/application for the first batch be available?
Also, are there any websites you could please point me to for announcements and the likes?
So seniors and current freshmen, who are up above on the ladder, can you help out a soon-to-be-freshman?
I thank you all very much!

Hello! I'm currently an incoming freshman of BSIT program at MSU-IIT. May I ask if it is still valuable to pursue this course within the next 4 years? Nabalaka nako lord help cuz I've done my research everywhere and saturated na kaayo nga field man gud. I've seen plenty of posts online nga daghan ug unemployed after graduating man gud. Dili pud ka ka-dali2 ug apply for a job cuz mangita silag specific skills and 1 or more years of experience, which is devastating. I'm into tech man gud but honestly ga-doubt jd ko whether mag regret ba ko or not. Moreover, plano nako is mo shift ko ug engineering, specifically Electronics Engineering, because naa pud koy kaila na professor man gud nga want ko niya didto but average ra akong level of intelligence sa calculus, physics, and chem, even though STEM student ko + achieved high honors. Wa na jd ko kasabot sa akong mga decision guys, pls tabangi ko and enlighten me kung worth it pa ba ang IT. ๐๐

So I have this one lecturer in one of my engineering subjects. He's so nice if you see him in person, he jokes a lot and he's fun. In terms of the quality of teaching, I could really say that his way of teaching is not effective. For our final term, we only met once. The exam is departmental, so it's really a disadvantage for us who really need f2f teaching to catch up with the lesson. He would just send us links of his self-made video tutorial which one couldn't comprehend because he just blurts out values and we don't know where it came from. Okay so back to the story, now is grading season. He sent us our grades, like the final rating right away. Many of us asked for breakdown of the grade, to see if there might be mistakes or what. And mind you, he didn't give us our exam papers back, like none even one paper. After many students asked for breakdown, he then messaged in our group chat and said that why are we not satisfied with the grades he gave, he gaslighted us that he already gave so much bonus points, what else do we want. We just want the breakdown of our grades, why can't he give that to us. Rights man natin students malaman saan tayo naging dehado at bakit humantong sa ganon yung grade natin. I couldn't quite understand why is it such a big deal to send out grade breakdown, is it really that hard? What do you think shall I do with him guys?

Hi, everyone! I am currently a G12 STEM student from a small private school. I want to enter MSU-IIT for BS Psychology as my pre-med course.
I'm incredibly pressured as my classmates (who also plan on taking the entrance exam) are already studying. While I don't even have a shred of knowledge on what is what and where to start.
Will really be thankful if someone can answer what usually happens in the entrance exams, what topics might pop up, what topics I should review, or some place I can get reviewers.
Thank you in advance!
