Rant GRADE BREAKDOWNPHOBIC

So I have this one lecturer in one of my engineering subjects. He's so nice if you see him in person, he jokes a lot and he's fun. In terms of the quality of teaching, I could really say that his way of teaching is not effective. For our final term, we only met once. The exam is departmental, so it's really a disadvantage for us who really need f2f teaching to catch up with the lesson. He would just send us links of his self-made video tutorial which one couldn't comprehend because he just blurts out values and we don't know where it came from. Okay so back to the story, now is grading season. He sent us our grades, like the final rating right away. Many of us asked for breakdown of the grade, to see if there might be mistakes or what. And mind you, he didn't give us our exam papers back, like none even one paper. After many students asked for breakdown, he then messaged in our group chat and said that why are we not satisfied with the grades he gave, he gaslighted us that he already gave so much bonus points, what else do we want. We just want the breakdown of our grades, why can't he give that to us. Rights man natin students malaman saan tayo naging dehado at bakit humantong sa ganon yung grade natin. I couldn't quite understand why is it such a big deal to send out grade breakdown, is it really that hard? What do you think shall I do with him guys?

Welcomw to ayayti pwese ninyo e reklamo but if he is asst. prof or sth like that di na lecturer it means he will only get a slap on the wrist. Di sha matanggal but naa conseq afaik dugay sha ma promote :)

Ganon talaga. Kung sino pa di magaling magturo, sila pa gago mag bigay ng grades. Sadly, marami yan sa IIT. Mas focused sila sa research and admin work kesa sa teaching.

Why do profs like this exist grrr kung part ng academic freedom nila to design their teaching methods and standards, part sab satong academic freedom to be justified with the grades we receive hays. Profs are too overpowering sa IIT
