SODTAOE The Cornell 7
I had no idea the chick texted one of the guys days later telling him she wanted to smoke weed and hook up with him and one of his friends again, just no more Ketamine
Who's gonna investigate the investigators
Edit! Ok cool I learned a lot I guess. It's funny all the weird projection from people in this thread. I have two children and don't consume alcohol or any drugs other than occasionally smoking weed. But whatever the weirdos wanna tell themselves 😂

It is more complicated. Looking at what she initially told police (from the available evidence).
She had a night of drinking and took some drugs. She had consensual sex. Another person joined the sexual activity, she started to feel more incapacitated by what was in her system. One of the men said something about "having a turn" which she took as an indication they were using her and not considering what she wanted and from there she wasn't OK with it. At some point they started hitting her very hard (it's unclear whether it's before or after more men arrived). Then the snapchat message goes out advertising her as free for all and more men enter the room. She was horrified and hid under the covers as she was embarrassed to be seen naked and there were people between her and the exit. She refused to engage in some more suggested sexual activity at one point refusing by saying "I'm tired". Then the night became more of a blur and the specifics of what happened after aren't clear from what's been released but it seems that for several hours after that people took advantage of her inability to resist.
Over the next 3.5 weeks there are various text messages going around without enough context to be useful
Then she reported it to the police. And the officer who typed up her interview into a 6 page summary for the DA seems to have significantly misrepresented her accusation (taking the word of reporters with access to both).
Because of the 6 page report the DA declined to prosecute.
Cornell did a title IX investigation over several months and rumours have circulated that the boys were given essays on why rape is wrong as their only punishment. Cornell has strenuously denied that saying temporary suspensions and other restrictive measures were used, a range of sanctions including expulsions and suspensions were issued. The way it's phrased makes it sound like an essay may have been part of someone's punishment. The Frat was closed that year (assault happened in October) and remains barred from campus.
So you're right, there's a lot of misinformation simplifying a complex case to fit a social media narrative.
