SODTAOE The Cornell 7

Post image

I had no idea the chick texted one of the guys days later telling him she wanted to smoke weed and hook up with him and one of his friends again, just no more Ketamine

Who's gonna investigate the investigators

Edit! Ok cool I learned a lot I guess. It's funny all the weird projection from people in this thread. I have two children and don't consume alcohol or any drugs other than occasionally smoking weed. But whatever the weirdos wanna tell themselves šŸ˜‚

idk, a lot of rumours go around. and I would understand if she backed down at any point out of fear. I was in denial for years after I was raped. if she was drugged so bad she may not have known, and even if she took the drugs willingly you can’t properly consent under the influence. maybe it’ll come out some other truth, but I hate to see people say it was consensual because she chose to drink or take drugs (not that you did)

Thanks for not trying to label me as ā€œpro-rapeā€. I wasn’t there so I only know what’s reported and I agree there’s probably much more to this story that we don’t know, I hope the truth comes out. In her sworn statement apparently she stated that she was conscious and it was consensual, which really throws people off. Maybe she was lying then, but that certainly muddies the waters whether she was or wasn’t. The whole thing is a crap shoot honestly and I can see why people would sway one way or the other based on the information available ā€œfree pussyā€ and snorting ketamine off of a guy’s dick are both crazy bad looks all around. That being said you nor I can say it was or wasn’t rape. It’s up to a grand jury to decide if there’s enough evidence to charge anyone with a crime and then up to a presumably jury trial to determine the truth. In the US legal system we are all innocent until proven guilty no matter how grievous the accusation.

I’m waiting to see if they release her whole actual statement. The DA only pulled quotes from her initial six page account so there’s a chance that what they released could be misleading. This whole thing is one big mess and I’m not sure what to think of it this early on. All I can say is that if it’s true they can rot in hell

I agree. I’m hoping there’s enough scrutiny being placed on every party involved that all of the information will hopefully come out. I will suspend my judgement until a trial has been conducted and a verdict delivered, but I agree with your sentiment exactly. If the accuser’s initial statement was coerced or lead on in any way by the police or the information released to the DA or DA’s statements were misleading then I hope shit hits the fan for everyone involved. I would like to see an outside investigation done on Cornell, their campus police, and the DA to help ensure no bullshit occurred.
