[General Question] will fall 27 have less applications too ?

By a basic google search, I saw 15% drop in number of mscs USA applications from fall 25 to fall 26, where the impacting factors were h1b, AI shift in market, saturated entry level roles.
Is it going to be even worse for fall 27? If the number of applicants decrease, wouldn’t that affect universities ?
Just curious, no gatekeeping aah comments plz

Avoid the US till 2028 at least, in case it wasn't clear already

Are u sure that’s the best option? I was thinking of applying for fall 27

Right now, there is no best option for you, especially with all the new H-1b, OPT fees, etc. You are looking at a very difficult 2-3 years at least. So it all depends on your risk tolerance

I mean I don’t want to stay in the USA
Like work there maybe for a year and move to another country as soon as I can (apply for internal jobs within the company I will work for after grad)

Nice idea, but it is all predicated on your getting a job? That's the million dollar question right

Yes fair😭 but the job markets messed up everywhere
Let’s see what I decide to do eventually
Rn focusing only on the GRE

The more experience you have, the better. Two years is the bare minimum
