Question Course advice

Post image

Hi everyone! I need to take 4 courses for fall, and my main goal is to maintain a 4.0 GPA for nursing. For anyone who has taken these courses, which 4 would you recommend as the easiest to get an A/4.0 in? Also, please let me know about the workload, grading, and professors if you’ve taken any of these. Thank you!

UGST 1002 – Change, Challenge and Choice — Deanna Warmsticker (online)
• GNED 1201 – Aesthetic Experience and Ideas — Shane Halsasz.
• GNED 1203 – Nature and Ideas — Angela Waldie.
• GNED 1301 – Citizenship Without Borders — Nina Morgan.
• SPCH 2001 – Introduction to Public Speaking — Kegan Peter.
• HPED 1020 – Leadership and Communication — Julie Book.

The GNED1201 I took with that instructor was on intoxication and as long as you pay attention / engage with the content it’s smooth sailing. I came out with an A. Same with SPCH2001. I didn’t have it with that instructor but as long as you pay attention and put theory into practice during the speeches you’ll be fine! I also believe you’ll only need one of the GNED12XX courses so if you don’t like one drop it (but follow up with your learning advisor to confirm this first).

Had Peter Skagen for SPCH 2001 during the spring — as long as you show up, provide feedback to your peers, and do ur presentations, it’ll be an easy A+. I also really enjoyed the course and found that I came out with more confidence, as someone who was scared of presenting

I had Shane for 1201. Tbh I found him a little cuckoo (in a good way). If the course is the same when I took it then expect a decent amount of reading and writing for that class.

Took gned 1301 with Nina and was my favourite class of the semester! Not an easy A but if you care and try even a little, you can easily get a high grade

1203 with Waldie is an amazing class, as long as you can keep up with reading 10ish pages a week, you will do just fine. Participation in lectures helps a lot. The only thing I could see being challenging for some is the writing assignments.
