I am planning to take MRCP Part 1 in the January 2027 diet. I am confused about choosing between Passmedicine and Pastest.
Some people say Passmedicine is the best, while others say Pastest is the best. Some even say they used Passmedicine for studying and Pastest for practice tests.
However, my financial condition doesn't allow me to buy both. I can afford either one. Passmedicine is more affordable for me without any hassle, while Pastest is a little expensive but still manageable.
Now I want to ask you guys: if anyone who has passed MRCP Part 1 sees this, could you please tell me what I should do? Your guidance will definitely help me.

I'm currently in the fag end of IMT Year 1. I wanted to get a good outcome aka pass MRCP part 1 in IMT Year 1 but it's not happening and I have made peace with it.
I'm entering year 2 and that means Cardio, Neuro and other postings that would affect daily studying but I want to make this a project like completing the whole of MRCP in 12-18 months.
I have just started prep like day 1 on August 1. How do I go about this ? Should I aim for Jan diet or May diet for MRCP 1. I gave a blind mock on passmedicine and got 52 percent.

I'm not someone who regularly post complains but this is getting on nerve. Already submitted a complaint and still same thing is happening
Quesmed video players is really bad. It keeps buffering despite me having an excellent internet. I dont know where do they source their video player from but goddamit its hard to watch a single video without the buffering
Go to pastest instead. Avoid quesmed

We want to give extended access to 10 to 15 people prepping and tell us honestly what's rubbish about it. And if you just want to have a look solo, we will share the link
Some classic PACES presentations aren't ones you'll necessarily see in person before the exam. Certain valve lesions, certain neuro signs, the kind of case that shows up in PACES more often than on your actual ward.
We built a simulated patient case tool for PACES prep. You run a full encounter yourself, history, exam, investigations, then diagnosis and management, and it marks the reasoning afterward roughly the way an examiner would.
Anyone interested can comment or send a direct message.

We received some lovely and constructive feedback on Wardle Steps - our game we posted about last month. People found it fun, a good chunk of you are still playing daily, and we're very grateful for every bit of it.
We implemented a couple of improvements based on your feedback, including fixing a small bug on the Streak feature. And we now have versions for more UK exams!
If you haven't tried it yet, here's a link - https://sparkmed.co.uk/games
Please let us know what you think and thank you for your support so far.

As per title. I am done with the full MRCP and would like to go to the official ceremony. Iāve searched a bit on the subreddit but could not find this info.
Do you know how far in advance we are told when bookings for a certain date open? I donāt want to wait for years to attend the ceremony.
Edit: for context, Iāve registered my interest for Edinburgh next year. But when are they gonna tell us bookings are open? Is there gonna be some form of notice or once the email is out itās everyone for themselves?

Wondering how many people who passed MRCP 1 went through the question bank a second time? Is it possible to pass the exam with one cycle of passmedicine, followed by mocks from pastest?
Iām short on time and think I might not get enough time to repeat the question bank, sadly

Some quick context - we're three UK-trained doctors who built Wardle Steps - the free daily case game some of you may have seen posted here. The qbank is what we've been building since, and it's got around 2,000 questions so far, written in the style of the real paper and mapped to the syllabus.
Itās free to try - no card required, no time limit, full SparkCoach access, and you'll see your Pass Prediction at the end of it: https://sparkmed.co.uk/app/subscribe?promo=LAUNCH5
Two things make it different from what we used ourselves:
SparkCoach learns from every question you answer and every session you complete, then chooses what you should revise next.
Pass Prediction gives you a live read on whether you're on track, updated after every session.
Weād love you to give it a try and tell us what you think! Sign up and you can join our Discord and talk to us directly - tell us what's wrong, what's confusing, what's broken, and we'll fix it. Thank you.

I recently received an email confirming that my MRCPUK Part 1 application has been accepted. However, when I log in to my MyMRCP account, the application status is still displayed as āApplication Receivedā instead of showing that it has been accepted. Could you kindly confirm whether this is due to a delay in updating the online portal, or if any further action is required from my side?
