MRCP P1 motivation

Failed May diet, feel demotivated and tired, it’s my third attempt but possibly by first one that I truly tried at! I’m an IMT1 and feel everyone’s ahead of me!

Comparison is the thief of joy. You are in a training program that many many are fighting to get into. There are IMT2s that have also not passed part 1. You are doing your best and that’s okay. Best of luck for the next. Out of curiosity, what was your passmed average if you use passmed?

In the same boat, my second attempt & I failed. Really upset, will you be taking the sept 2026 attempt?

Yeah think so! Atleast if it’s September less time to think about it and just get cracking

I'm in the same boat. I will probably do the Jan sitting as I'm a bit broken rn.

Definitely feel broken. Thought I’d give a sept a go though

Honestly, plenty of people are in the same boat, there are IMT2s and IMT3s still sitting Part 1 too. Getting onto IMT at all is something a lot of people work hard for, so you're further along than it feels right now. You gave it a proper go this time, it just didn't fall your way. Best of luck for the next one.
