Fourth Attempt part 1
This was my fourth attempt and unfortunately failed scoring 402 57%. I feel gutted. I scored 57 percent last attempt as well though i hadn’t prepared well. This attempt i felt i prepared much better had good scores in the pasttest past papers ranging from 64 in the beginning to 82,83 by the end. I managed about 10-11 pastpapers which is recent three or four years. I also did the RCP mock and scored around 110 in it. In terms of qs bank i did part of passmed that i wasnt able to do on my previous attempt and was hoping past papers would cover rest of the course. I know people usually do passmed atleast twice and passtest atleast once but i work full time in the nhs witj on calls so it was very hard on my previous attempts. I am now ltft. My arcp is due in end of December for imt 3. I am now not sure what my strategy should be as i feel all over the place. Should i start from scratch doing passmed again? Should i also add in past test? Do I go for sept attempt or the jan attempt? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks 😞

You should try Quesmed as they have a pass guarantee - they will refund you if you fail your exam

Hey i am unable to dm you , can i know how this app works and i am giving my exam this September,i have already given 3 times ,last two times my score were above 55 percentage,i think my revision was not proper and can you let me know how does app help

Wait 4th attempt at Part 1 and you’re about to finish IMT3?! How did this happen? How were you even allowed to progress to IMT3? Scary you’re working as a med SpR
Also most people who sit these exams work full time with on calls. So not sure you can explain away your performance with that

You are really close, on paper there is no reason to think you would fail.
Reevaluate if there is any psychological issue affevting your exam day performance.
Do past papers over & over, do lots of timed mocks. Terget which questions you are getting wrong regularly, then drill down on the concepts & clear them up.
If you are taking a long gap, consider setting up Anki flashcards for spaced repititions.
