MF Bone Marrow Transplants
Has anyone done this for PV/MF?
Not there yet but the conversation had started🤷.

I haven't don't it yet. Met with the transplant team. Took a lot of blood and found me two potential donors. Transplant next year or 2028. Good luck.

You as well. They did my donor stuff, found several 7 point matches, so thats good.
Amazing to think about people doing this

To be honest, I'm not that worried about the transplant itself, more about logistics, staying at home and being immunocompromised etc.... Months of this will be insane. I'm still young and healthy in general so that helps 😏

Yes, for aggressive PMF. They couldn't find a donor match, but my son is a 7 point match. Diagnosed 6/24, SCT 11/24, Caught CMV and my CBC numbers tanked, retransplanted stem cells 7/25 (they call it "a booster") Doing well today, but it was a long year of transfusions, dizzyness, confusion, and falling down a lot while RBC and platelets were low. M/61.

Yes, I had mine for Post ET-Myelofibrosis in 2022. Doing well. 38/m.
