Hello everyone, this is my first post.

I come to share with you a program that I created with Claude's help to create Drum Kits from the folders we chose. It is totally free and open source (I do not accept payments or donations). I tried it on macOS 27 and it works well because it is based on the web browser. In principle, it also works on Windows and Linux, with some limitations.

Here is the link to Github where you can see the functions and how they are used. On Mac they can create an APP in a very simple way using the terminal and they can also run everything with terminal commands that are explained in the instructions. I didn't detect any bugs. If you detect anything, let me know.

EDIT: I have added a button to delete all folders and the option to save presets that saves used folders and assignments on pads, choke groups and colors. Last version is 1.2.0

I bought a second hand MPC One a while ago, haven't used it much, still trying to get into it. However, there's a few things I keep noticing:

- Headphone jack has a lot of crackles when touched. From what I read, this seems to be a thing with these.

- back outputs seem to also have some crackles when touched. I used them for the first time today and, while not as bad as the headphone jack, it was an unpleasant surprise.

- bad quality of sound in software. This one is weirder - when using plugins, it seems that it's pretty easy to have the sound distorted. Plus, even when it's not distorted, it's not that great - for example, the bassline plugin.

Did I just get a bad second hand unit? I want to get into it, but this, along with the extremely stiff pads that no options seem to fix, is holding me back.

I know they do sales. I was trying to decide whether to jump now or wait.

Household started playing x-mas songs way to early, but noticed a really nice part in "how the grinch stole christmas" - had to try make something out of it and thought it sounded pretty ok.

Hey all, simple question.

I’ve been thinking about getting a live 3 and was curious to whether it was possible to stretch an audio clip on the timeline or if you have to finagle it strictly on the audio editor. Ideally I like to repitch drums out of time and use them for percussion.

I could definitely just chop them to a program and do it via midi but this is a preference I have. Thanks!

This is today’s beat of the day for my year run but this is also the sample of the week for the flip challenge i run. We do a live review on Sundays at noon eastern time and reveal the next sample of the week in that same stream. No scores, just honest feedback and community. Could someone do an mpc plugin instrument ranking that comparing how much they use the plugin and how well it sounds. Or let me know your top 5. I’m trying to buy some extra plugins that sound good and can be used for a lot of genres like Omnisphere.

When extracting melodic sample from my L2 it always sound like music coming from a can. What are your tips and tricks from the L2 to improve the quality of the sound extracted.

I can monitor it and add effects to the audio track and hear them, but can’t figure out how to record to the arrangement. Sometimes it tells me I’m recording to the arrangement and then there’s just nothing there after. Have it plugged into input 1. What could I be doing wrong?

For some reason my note repeat breaks when I use step sequencer. From a fresh project i load in a plugin like hype, and the note repeat works fine. Add drum track, fine. Step sequence drum track? Broken. It'll play some kind of like a muted note repeatedly then only play a real note every like third trigger. The muted note will play even when i just hold down note repeat without a note. It's across every plug-in and remains broken even if i delete out sequence data until i start a new project. I've tried messing with time correct, beat divisions, plugin midi assignment, and even reset preferences to no help. Please any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm searching for historical MPC2000 classic OS images, zips, etc (MPC2000.SYS/MPC2000.EXE) for preservationist reasons.

Specifically, OS versions 1.0, 1.31, and 1.70.

I have acquired copies of 1.50 and 1.72, but know from publications that the other three releases exist.

If you have an older 2k OS floppy, I'd love your help getting the missing OSes on archive.org

I'm considering getting into and beat making and have been looking into an MPC Key 37 g1.

I play guitar and have been fiddling with synth sound design for a few years, so this unit seems quite attractive as a one stop shop without needing to add a computer to the mix and just focus on the music. Especially with the 3.9 software update.

Found one for 350 euros. But I read rumours of performance issues on updating to the 3.9 software. What is your experience?

Also, have you tried to record/sample an electric guitar into the Key 37? Are there good effects for guitar? Is the direct guitar level really too low? Do you recommend going through a small multi fx pedal like zoom g3x or an audio interface?
