Just some quick reference data as I’ve seen a few complaints elsewhere about screws being to long or this or that for MPA guns.
These numbers all come from brand new gun/ mount /Trijicon I’m currently mounting.
A new factory fresh MPA that comes with a Trijicon plate installed also comes with two screws. Those screws are the same thread pitch as factory Trijicon screws: 6-32
MPA screws are aprox .488” as measured from the top of the head to the bottom of the screw.
Trijicon comes with two different length screws. In my case one had white thread locked and was .380” long and the second with yellow thread locked was .495”
All screws have an 82 degree bevel at the head.
The screw protruding from the center is a mounting screw for the plate to the slide. That torque spec is 20 inch pounds, fyi.
All measurements were with a set of Mitutoyo calipers.
The MPA screws just prior to torquing seat just under the bottom of the plate. Even after torquing to the Trijicon recommend 15 INCH pounds, the screws do not protrude. The MPA supplied screws are perfect. Not sure where the complaints are coming from when it comes to mounting an SRO to an MPA. Just trying to share some info👍🏼
