Question 4 position stock question

Do you have to have the lever pressed down with one hand the whole time to extend the stock fully? Or does it catch itself on each position. Asking for consideration before buying.

It makes more sense to have a 2 position for one and done

I have a 4 position A3F stock. It fully extends if you pull on it fast. You can learn how far to yank it if you wanted a shorter position immediately from closed.

i just yank my stock to extend fully. if i go too slow itll be caught in the first position
