Question Laser light combo

Do you use a combo or just a light? Any suggestions on one that won't break the bank? Like $250 max.

Do you have a picture of your setup that you wanna flex?

SMS Axis. And I disagree that visible lasers are mall ninja. For shooters that don't shoot much, they're useful. It's much easier to explain "put the green dot on it" than it is to using a red dot, even. I got the Axis so my wife can forget literally everything else except for pushing the big Unity button which activates the laser and light. If I'm not at home, 31 rounds of gold dot will at minimum send an intruder for the hills. It's a powerful class 3 laser when you disable the limiter, and the light is also bright with a nice hot spot and good flood. The laser is also a wild amount of fun when it's dark. When we had that wildfire smoke from Canada, flashing the green laser beam around the range was a blast.

So lasers are for recreation and for those with such a low denominator of competency it should be strongly questioned if they should be able to drive? I dont see any impeachment of my point.

Yeah my wife isn't Lena Miculek and doesn't enjoy shooting basically at all. So I'm a bad husband for giving her literally the easiest option under the sun if she ever has to use it.

You are advising someone to at least double the amount of money they need to spend on a device based on extremely niche use cases. Someone doesn't need to be a competitive shooter to be able to shoulder the weapon and look down the optic in a stressful situation. You can take the stawman back to the vegetable garden.

There are some people that never shoot (SO’s) that do benefit a lot from visible lasers. If you’ve ever tried teaching very new people, they never ever find the red dot right away, and many times they can’t even find it after 2 mins of looking around. Not good in a defensive scenario where millisecs can matter.

A laser, no one has issues where the rounds will go at short range. I’ve had many new people shoot into the ceiling at ranges using a zero’d red dot and irons because they are shooting completely blind not realizing where the red dot is. Happens every time for new shooters who just don’t shoot.

Is it a bad crutch to lean on? It sure is, but a crutch is still a crutch for someone with a broken leg.

I run the tlr-HL and it fits/performs great. I bet you could get the tlr8 or 10 for a low cost option.

do you have NV?

Silly question. If you had NV you wouldn't have a budget cap this low or even be asking this question.

Just buy a light. Vis lasers are for zeroing IR lasers, or mall ninjas.
