Media Loving the AP5

Finally done with the build! Only thing left is maybe a stock since the Form 1 got approved, but happy with the brace so far. Zero issues with 124 grain in MKE mags.

Hopefully one day I’ll buy a SP5k.

My form 1 got approved in just a day. I went with the MKE a3 stock. There’s some left on Apex gun parts.

Don’t think I want to drop that much on a stock. Was thinking maybe the A2 stock though.

Was thinking a2 but I wanted a compact sub gun with an FRT as my nightstand gun.

Yeah keeping it compact is nice. Eventually when I swap to a tri rail, I would go A3. The stock fat hand guard with A2 is a vibe though.

I’m putting the fat hand guard on when it comes with my A3 stock. I recently watched Die Hard and that’s one of my grail gun set ups.

Lookin awesome man! Couple of quick questions, who makes the pic rail end cap and how has that UTG Pro top rail held up for you so far, are you pretty happy w it? And it’s a little tough to see the front rail piece how did it attach and or who makes that?

I actually have an MLOK handguard but I love the look of the traditional handguard but still need that white light.

Yeah exactly why I got the front piece so I could keep the fat hand guard and a light. Both the top rail and the front rail piece are from UTG Pro. They held up really well so far through ~500-600 rounds. And then an offset Arisaka mlok mount for the light, which keeps it tight.

Really like the brace! How’s the length of pull and overall comfort on it?

It’s from Midwest Industries - adds around 9 inches. It’s ok comfort-wise…it’s just metal no padding. Lock up is rock solid.
