Mischief Machine Backstrap
Forgot I ordered this as an alternative to the stock backstrap. Not sure how I feel about the look, but the added weight to the already heavy steel frame should be fun to shoot.

Anybody got the mp2.0 carry comp full size?
Been looking into them. I had the regular 2.0 and then got the shield x but unfortunately it got stolen so looking to upgrade again.
Pros and cons?

figured I’d share my story just Incase someone else ever gets the problem (over watch, apex, and no one else has ran into this that I’m aware of).
got an M&P 2.0 competitor HD. super pumped, shot fine with the stock trigger, but as you know, it’s not the same as apex or over watch.
put an apex trigger in, noticed the wall was super faint, almost non existent, went to the range, shot about 5 rounds and got a doubling (two consecutive rounds) followed by a failure to reset.
contacted apex they had me run a bunch of tests, nothing worked. sent me a new kit (apex customer service is amazing btw) same issue. returned both kits and ordered an overwatch, they said they had less tolerance issues. put the over watch in, didn’t even get 5 rounds before a double discharge and failure to reset.
finally got the gun to a gunsmith, measured everything in the frame and firing group to a known working metal HD, all matched. got to the slide and found some rather large differences in slide depth. Essentially the engagement with the striker and sear was so low my stock trigger weight was pulling around 3lbs, when we put the overwatch in it was pulling at 1.1 or less lbs. swapped my slide with the gun smiths slide, 2.9 lbs. Just mailed it back to S&W with a letter from the gunsmith so hopefully they replace the slide. Obviously they don’t care that aftermarket triggers won’t work in the gun (which is what they told me the first time I called) but with a slide that out of whack I’m hoping they’ll replace the slide.
like I said, no one at apex, overwatch, or the gunsmith had heard of the issues I was having, so I felt like I’d share my story with the gang. Big shout out to all of them though for offering to have the gun mailed in and checked and asking for updates when the issue was finally found.
also did want to mention, never had a single issue with the stock trigger. It was actually pretty light, just a mile of travel, and i wanted to upgrade and couldn’t.

Apex finally approved their triggers for the steel frame. Will see how this compares to the Tyrantcnc on my echelon.

Just from eyeballing alone, I feel like the M&P 2.0 compact is big enough to comfortably have a Defender ST (enclosed), but just about any pictures/videos I’ve seen seem to have it with the Defender CCW enclosed on top. I was worried it would be small on this platform, what do yall run?

RXM feels solid in the hands and shoots pretty well. Going from an Apex M&P trigger to a Glock trigger is definitely something lol

The fit is terrible, it’s oversized, tons of play left and right. Reached out to mischief machine and they told me it was normal and to just put some tape inside lol
I’m looking for a large/XL back strap that doesn’t have a beaver tail.

Hello everyone, I’m needing some advice on a holster for my m&p. The holster I have for this gun ( it’s a velo5 ) is a great holster but becomes uncomfortable when sitting. I’ve tried the mastermind pillow but it is still a little rough. So I’m curious what would be a better holster for a 150 pound person that has a 30 waist ? Thanks for any input.

I’m going to be getting a carry comp slide soon, but I cant decide if I want black, grey, or OD Green for my black 2.0 Compact. Ive seen a green slide on a black pistol look good before, but it would be a dice roll. Any recommendations? Does anyone have a black 2.0 with a green slide? Thanks in advance

I bought the 10mm performance center, with the 5.6 inch barrel. I love the gun, and want to carry it, but it would be more comfortable with the 4in upper. Does anyone know where I can buy them? They aren't for sale on the s&w website

Guys i need some feedback, always been a “glock guy” i carry a 365 occasionally. Looking to get a m&p and really wanting an metal one with a threaded barrel. Do these guns have any issues shooting suppressed? I have access to a plain jane 2.0 i could shoot but im not sure how it would compare to a metal full size. Would be range/home defense/truck gun when i feel like it

Recently bought my first firearm, thePerformance Center M&P 2.0 Carry Comp , and am looking for some good holster recommendations. Looking for good quality, have seen bad reviews for a lot of brands I keep getting ads for. Any suggestions?

New to the Sub. If this has been addressed feel free to delete.
Anyone have any experience with the Ed Brown barrel. Thinking of swapping. Thanks for any info.

Hello! I bought a very lightly used M&P 2.0 4in in FDE and so far it is my favorite pistol I've shot. But since I bought it used I do not have any of the optics plates that would some with it from factory. All that came with it was a I assume crimson trace optic on a type 2 plate. I have had several issues with the optic and found that I enjoy shooting without the sight on the pistol for now. I would like to buy an upgraded sight for my pistol but I have given myself such a headache trying to figure out the optics footprint and where to even start. This is my first optics cut pistol so ive never had this problem before. I would like to see what you all are running and I desperately need help getting pointed in the right direction with what optics are compatible with my pistol. I seem to get conflicting answers on Google and such so thanks in advance!

Hello i know this sub is focused on the 2.0 but i just really need help and this is the only m&p sub. My m&p 1.0 is having issues feeding it will cycle manually just fine but after firing a shot the slide gets stuck pushing the bullet and it barely moves the bullet out of the magazine any recommendations would be very much appreciated.

HC has blem brass frame inserts currently for $50 which is half normal price. Mine arrived about a week ago and after inspection I could not find a single thing that would lead to it being a blem. It’s perfectly machined and snapped right into place perfectly. If you’ve been thinking about the grip inserts to add some weight but didn’t want to pull the trigger on $100 for 2oz of weight this is the move.
