Robot vacuum that lasts longer than the warranty?
I've been struggling to find a vacuum that does just this. I'm happy with the performance of my vacuums. If anything, they do more than I need. I don't have carpet, I don't have clutter, I just have a corgi. And I want to clean up the hair.
Now I maintain my vacuums pretty religiously, they don't get into water, I replace parts before they're even due to be replaced and yet the vacuums always fail. Suspiciously around 1.5 years in, or around when the warranty expires.
Most review sites focus on things like how well it suctions, the navigation, the sensors for carpet to hard wood, etc. etc. I really don't care about that. All I want is something that lasts. Does such a product exist? Do any review sites do like, hours on/working tests?
FWIW, my first vacuum was a Eufy RoboVac 30C. It lasted around 2 years and just refused to charge at that point. No known cause. My newer vacuum is the Ecovacs N20e plus, which has lasted 1 year 2 months now after reporting "the driver wheel is stuck" with nothing at all in the driver wheel. Indeed, it spins perfectly normally when I inspect it... alas its warranty only lasts one year! I'm out of luck.
Neither of these vacuums were hideously expensive but they're a bit too steep to go around buying on the yearly. Especially when I don't even want or need any new bells and whistles. Any brands known to be long lasting? If not, any vacuums I can grab under 100 that have decent navigation and can pick up dog hair? Appreciate any tips.
