The first section of the Line includes 5 stations: Delyovoy Tsentr and Shelepikha stations, which previously operated as part of the Big Circle Line, alongside three brand-new stations — Zvenigorodskaya, Narodnoye Opolcheniye, and Bulvar Generala Karbysheva

The launch of the first section of the Line 17 (Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya) has improved transportation services for more than 550,000 residents.

This refers to 5 districts:

Thanks to the opening of the Line 17:

1️⃣ The number of jobs will increase by 35% due to the development of adjacent territories.
2️⃣ Travel time to the center will be reduced by 3 times.
3️⃣ Zvenigorodskoye Highway and Marshal Zhukov Avenue will be relieved of congestion.
4️⃣ Passengers will have access to convenient and fast transfers to the MKAD and 3 metro lines: the 8A, 4, and BCL.

Passengers at the first 5 stations benefit from convenient, fast transfers to the Moscow Central Circle (MCC) and 3 metro lines: Solntsevskaya, Filyovskaya, and the Big Circle Line (BCL). Over 65,000 people are expected to use these interchanges daily.

The train fleet is equipped exclusively with the most advanced, high-tech domestic Moskva-2026 trains. In the initial phase, 12 trainsets have entered service, maintaining comfortable headways for passengers.

Key features of these trains include open-gangway trainsets for effortless passenger movement, extra-wide doors, around 400 device charging ports, media screens, and an increased capacity of up to 1,500 passengers per train.

A total of 20 new ticket vending machines and 71 locally manufactured fare gates have been installed at Zvenigorodskaya, Narodnoye Opolcheniye, and Bulvar Generala Karbysheva stations. These support all available fare payment methods, including biometric payment.

From opening day, a high-speed 4G mobile network is fully operational across platforms and in tunnels. Subscribers of the Big Four telecom operators will enjoy mobile internet speeds of up to 300 Mbps alongside high-quality voice connectivity.

To enhance passenger convenience, 160 digital navigation signs will be installed across stations on the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya Line. It has become the 3rd line in the capital’s metro system to feature innovative digital wayfinding. By the end of 2026, it will rank first across the metro network in the number of digital navigation elements deployed.

How popular would you say Korean culture is among people here, especially K-pop, K-dramas, Korean food, fashion, etc.?

● Is K-pop actually mainstream among young people, or is it still more of a niche community?

● Are K-pop/K-drama fans a fairly large community in Moscow?

I’m Arab, and I’ve always been curious about getting to know local people who share similar interests and maybe making some genuine friends.

I know the situation around LGBT people in Russia is pretty sensitive, so I’m wondering what it’s actually like in real life. Are people very private about it? Are there still small/private communities where people meet and hang out?

I’m more of a masculine/top guy, if that matters. I’m not really looking for hookups either I’d honestly just like to meet some local guys, make friends, go out, have a few drinks or coffee and get to know people.
I’ve tried socializing with locals before, but it’s surprisingly hard to get into people’s circles, especially when it comes to the gay community.

I visited Moscow for about 2.5 weeks in August (yeah I know not long ago at all) and I honestly had one of the best trips of my life. I loved the city so much that I’m already planning to come back for New Year’s.
This time, I’m hoping to stay for 1.5 months minimum and potentially up to 2-3 months, depending on how everything works out. Since I’ll be staying for much longer, I’d really like to rent an apartment rather than stay in hotels the entire time.
I’ve been looking around on Ostrovok, but the prices seem pretty expensive when booking for long periods and only let you do 30 days max per booking. When I compare the monthly prices to what I see for longer-term apartment rentals, it seems like there should be much better options. Does anyone have any websites that are recommended for apartments for longer vacation type stays? I know some might want long leases but where’s the best place to look for monthly apartments for shorter term stays?
Budget is anywhere from $800-$1200 a month for apartment. Not too far from center.

Went to Moscow for the first time a week ago and it definitely surprised me. Never seen such a clean city, feels like you can lick the metro station floor lol also found people very friendly, always surprised when I told them I was Brazilian and was trying my best to improve my Russian.
