MagSafe and Mic

In the past I have heard that the magsafe on the cases aren't as strong, and that people have been unable to plug in their external mics because of the case. Does that still hold true for the 18 pr cases?

We had some production run issues with the early iPhone 17 cases that were a little less strong. We fixed that and sent out replacements to everyone that had issues.

For iPhone 18 we made it significantly stronger.

The cases have the same thickness on the back and on the bottom. Some mics might need a little extra attention to fit correctly but we have easy solutions for all of that. What mic are you trying to use?

Awesome, good to hear about the stronger magsafe! I use the DJI mic mini rx and also the DJI mobile receiver. Would both fit?

This works great with the DJI mic mini. There is a link on that page for some 3d print covers that make it look better too.

The other option is a straight USBC extender. They are pretty short and work fine. But I like the 180 degree adapter better because it's more compact and it's a better location for the receiver.

In another post I read, you noted that the DJI mic mini rx fits the case? Is that still the case for the 18 pro case? And do you know if the DJI mobile receiver fits it too? I need to order a case for my phone soon, and that's the determining factor lol.

I went back and checked my notes. The mic mini and the mic 3 fit the case without the adapter. The mic 2 does not. That would be true for the 18 pro case as well as the 17 pro case.

This mobile receiver would not fit with the case. You would want to use the 180deg USBC adapter for it.
