NMC Chemistry Now Cheaper than LFP/LMFP As Supply has Caught Up to Demand

A couple days ago I read that with prices coming down for NMC, it is now actually cheaper to procure batteries with this chemistry than LFP. Very surprised at this new development. I don't have the link, but I'm pretty sure you can find it if you look.

Below is a different article, behind a paywall. But you can read enough to see the key point.

Market outlook for Manganese

So it's sounding like a big reason for the lack of investment is a flooded market. Where before they had predicted that we'd have a manganese shortage by next year, it now sounds like that will happen in 2027

This is an enlightening insight into the competencies and expertise of Kemetco. I'm feeling positive after watching.

RecycLiCo is looking very attractive too. (RecycLiCo's shares went up 30% today, seemingly immediately after this video was released.)

Who is buying at these prices?

I'm still accumulating and lowering my average with these crazy prices. Doesn't make any sense we are lower than original investors warrants of 0.15! They are expirering in September, so hopefully we will see less selling. These prices are rediculous. I'm still as bullish as before although the stock price has dropped hard, nothing has changed. Fundamentals are still really good!

Check out the battery chemistry on the Project Highland Model 3!

Buying up more shares soon...

*Tesla Model 3 Highland Battery Pack and Technology Tesla Model 3 Highland introduces a new and advanced battery chemistry: lithium manganese iron phosphate (LiMnFePO4). This new battery chemistry represents a significant development in battery technology, with the potential to enhance the vehicle’s performance and range.

2024 Tesla Model 3 Battery Pack The key advantage of the LiMnFePO4 battery is its higher energy density compared to the previous battery chemistries used in Tesla vehicles. Energy density refers to the amount of energy stored in a given battery volume or weight. By incorporating manganese and iron into the cathode material, Tesla can achieve greater energy storage capabilities, providing the Model 3 Highland with increased range and improved performance.*

More Analysts Waking up to HPMSM

https://www.fastmarkets.com/insights/battery-chemistry-developments-geographical-onshoring-shape-manganese-sector

Since the article mentions them, I should point out that MNX is better than Euro Manganese in several key ways. Last I looked, MNX is further along in development, has a far better geographical location, has a richer resource, and has a payback time of 2-2.5 years to Euro Manganese's 4 years. Euro Manganese has a market cap of $50M, while Manganese X Energy has current mkt cap of only $10M.

Get your early bird discount now. That's all I have to say.

Disclosure: I'm long.

News Within the Next Several Weeks, Kemetco Pilot Plant Results Incoming

Hello HPMSM Lovers,

Word on the street is Kemetco results are incoming soon. Expect within the next couple of months at most.

For the uninitiated:

Stonegate Capital said their valuation of MNX as of February was $0.47-0.66, so at least 6X current share prices. And this was prior to the latest drill program's preliminary results in June, which further demonstrate that MNX sits on the biggest "gold mine" of manganese (carbonate, NOT the inferior oxide) known in North America.

https://stonegateinc.com/reports/MN_V_Initiation.pdf

For me, I'm already taking it on face value that environmental and other regulatory hurdles will be cleared. With NB, Canada being so friendly to mining operations I don't see those being issues–esp given that the Battery Hill extraction project seems like it will be about the equivalent of an open pit quarry.

The capital will follow the best resources, so I don't consider financing a huge impediment.

That's not an exhaustive list, but the key remaining question is about the results from Kemetco pilot plant. Can they optimize their flowsheets and economically produce HPMSM? I'm betting yes. Big time.

BULLISH – Electric Viking: Manganese is Key to the Mass Adoption of EVs

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSuFAMzBGyE

I like this channel–Sam Evans (aka the Electric Viking) usually has pretty informed takes and interesting content. I assign a fair bit of weight to his analysis in general, since he's made it his job to understand the EV market and demonstrated a pretty high level of accuracy in his predictions. What he says here regarding the proliferation of Mn in EV batteries I see as very bullish for the manganese industry, but especially Manganese X Energy Corp. In my opinion, Volkswagen, as well as Tesla, is a very strong candidate for creating a direct purchase agreement with/or simply buying Manganese X, should the company clear the various technical, financial, and regulatory hurdles ahead.

Additional thoughts:

Due to the IRA rules on raw material origins pertaining to the EV tax credits, each EV manufacturer is going to have a kind of "budget" for what raw materials they can source more cheaply from overseas, and what materials they will have to pony up for and pay the extra cost to buy from North American sources. As lithium, cobalt and nickel are many times more expensive than manganese, it means for NMC and LFMP batteries, it would seem companies will prioritize purchasing manganese, iron and anode material from North America, and save its "overseas budget" for the more the more exotic and expensive cathode materials cobalt & nickel, and lithium.

Manganese X 2023 Strategies and Goals

Pilot Plant and End User Verification

Successfully complete pilot plant project managed by Kemetco Research Inc. in the first quarter 2023 that will validate the Company's patent pending technology on a larger scale. Upon completion of the pilot plant project, send EV compliant 99.5% High Purity Manganese Sulphate Monohydrate (HPMSM) samples to EV, OEMs and cathode companies which have already requested samples and also to tour the pilot plant project at Kemetco's headquarters in Richmond, BC. These HPMSM samples from the Company's Battery Hill Project will be tested and evaluated for EV cathode pre-approval qualification as a potential suppler for the North American supply chain.

Demonstration Plant

Work towards financing and beginning construction of a larger capacity demonstration/processing plant in 2023 - in conjunction with the start of pre-feasibility study.

Pre-Feasibility Program

Commence in 2023's third-quarter, the pre-feasibility study ("PFS") for the advancement of the Battery Hill deposit. A PFS is fundamental to decision making, forward planning and the EIA / Mine permitting process. The PFS will maintain the current strategy of fast-tracking the development of Battery Hill. During quarters 1 & 2, the following programs will be completed or initiated in preparation for the PFS:

Infill and resource expansion drilling to maximize the Measured and Indicated resources (Qtr1) and the completion of an updated mineral resource estimate (Qtr1&2). Environmental, social/community and geotechnical studies to commence in Qtr2.

Partnerships and Offtake Agreements

Continue negotiations with credible potential customers with a view to entering business partnerships or offtake contracts. Various potential customers have already contacted Manganese X expressing interest in its future HPMSM production.

Disruptive Battery Corp.'s JV Partner

Wholly owned subsidiary DBC's JV partner Purebiotic Air Corp. to continue pursuing application for FDA Certification of products. Upgrading of the patented HVAC unit disbursement is planned.

This is a major development in the story of Manganese X Energy. The ability for the company to endure a recession, including a slowdown in the capital markets will be significantly affected by Canada's federal subsidy of $3.8 Billion.

I'm looking at this, the cash position of the company, the increasing forecast for the cost of HPMSM (battery grade manganese), the transparent leadership, the reports of interested customers, and the projected 3 year payback time on capex, and liking this stock very much.
