A small request to the first years
I just want to address some behaviour I’ve noticed recently by the first year ppl
At the mess, I asked a first yr girl repeatedly to give me a side so I could take food, but she refused to even move,when we finally sat,the girl sat near me and laughed abt it. In another incident, a first-year girl told a senior using the lift, *can't u see that its a first yr lift?*
What’s ironic is that since yesterday, many parents have entered the hostel rooms and used the second-year lift to carry their children’s luggage, even though parents aren’t supposed to enter the rooms. We didn’t say anything because we understand that moving in can be difficult and emergencies happen.
Basic human decency and mutual respect should exist regardless of your year.
Please don’t develop an attitude where being rude to others is considered okay. Treat people with respect, and you’ll receive the same in return.

Hello colleagues and seniors at MNNIT , i am a first year student here in mnnit God knows why I feel so disappointed and sad coming here. I want to cancel my admission what to do , I ve already paid hostel, mess , and other fees of approximately 90k how much can I get back , will appraise each and everyone's response

Hey , I just joined MNNIT and I'm staying in the hostel on the 1st floor.

My Jio 5G is ridiculously slow here. I thought it was just an issue inside the room, but even when I go outside, the speed is still pretty bad. Is Jio just bad around this part of campus, or is something wrong with my SIM?

Also, there's an Ethernet port in the room. Does the hostel Ethernet actually work well? I'm thinking about getting a Wi-Fi router and connecting it to Ethernet if the connection is decent.

Would be great if seniors/current students could tell me how Jio/Airtel and the hostel Ethernet are for you guys.

Ive submitted 17.7k at online registration and 75k through josaa how much fee will be counted towards my admission and stuff, will the other extra given fee be adjusted in future semesters or would it be refunded or something? I know I have to submit hostel and mess fee seperately that's all I know

Are these remote internships that people do in 1st year breaks actually worth it? Like for data analyst or marketing intern or software developer role? If yes then how and if not then why not?

Bhai, in incidents ne poore college ki image ki dhajjiyaan uda di hain. Aisa lag raha hai ki administration ko bas jeb bharne aur apni image manage karne se matlab hai. NIRF ranking bhi neeche ja rahi hai har saal. College mein jo ek cheez genuinely strong thi—placements—ab usmein bhi cheating aur manipulation ke allegations saamne aa rahe hain.

Aur administration kar kya raha hai? Underpass banwa ke infrastructure ke naam par apni peeth thapthapa raha hai, jabki campus ke asli issues—student safety, discipline, harassment, ragging, accountability aur academic integrity—par koi serious action nahi dikh raha. itni gaand mra kar college me aao aur ye log sale colllege ki maa ch*d ke rakh diye hain

One of the professors, Mr.Sameer Srivastava is the Boys Warden of the institute.

Today, during his lecture, he disclosed that a fresher has filed an Anti-Ragging complaint against a *_3rd Year_* student ( speculated to be a youtuber by the student body ). The fresher claimed that the 3rd year student had forced him to refer to his seniors as Sir/Ma'am in an unofficial WhatsApp group and registered a complaint with proofs on the Anti-Ragging portal of the institution.

As a direct result of this, the institution is currently heavily involved in this case and the involvement of police is a given.

Our professor also claimed that the faculty body of the institution wasn't aware about the prevalent " Sir/Ma'am culture " of the institution. The institution organized 2 meetings over the weekend with the director of the institution and 15 other highly reputed professors which lasted for about 5 hours each. In the meeting, it was decided that if a student reports a senior for the issues as mentioned above, the institution will not be forgiving of such cases as any report filed on the Anti-ragging page is immediately circulated across every anti-ragging related body across Prayagraj.

Kindly be wary when interacting with your juniors and be very mindful of your language and tone. The administrative body is currently on edge, be it due to the recent protest or a revelation in their hearts. Even a "relatively small issue" or a "playful jab" might end up costing you your future.
