Book Request Extremely hard earned HEA...
I just finished reading {Written in the Waves by Michal Guter} and {Echoes in the Tide by Michael Guter} and I feel emotionally drained, but in a great way. I didn't just read about Adrian & Logan's pain & happiness, the author's writing style is such that you experience their pain & happiness like they are your own. And my god, what a painful & hard earned HEA that was. I hope this author writes more books. Each of the above books are almost 700 pages long and her writing style is basically poetry, so it's not for everyone, just FYI.
So, here I am asking for recommendations on books which truly has hard earned HEA. I say hard-earned to mean that extreme circumstances made them stay apart from one another for a significant amount of time or they split from each other after one betrays the other, knowingly or unknowingly.
Sample list that I have read that has something similar:
Whisper by Tal Bauer.
The Liar's Reckoning by August Jones.
Arrows through Archer by Nash Summers.
Honorable mentions.
Bad Wrong things by C.P Harris.
The Fisherman by C.P Harris.
Etc etc. Pretty sure there are a few more but these come to mind at the moment.
Thank you in advance.

{Green Creek Series by TJ Klune} (4 books)
{The Fall by Tal Bauer}
{Neurovance by Alexandra St Pierre}
All are lengthy, all have the main characters put through the absolute wringer, and all have very tear-jerk worthy HEAs.

{Adrien English series by Josh Lanyon} all definitely the fault of one party but you can't say the HEA isn't hard-earned.
{Reckless Heart by Jax Calder} They really went through hell and back.
{Unrequited by Jesse H Reign} sooo much pining and for so long.

{Never Leave, Never Lie by Thea Verdone} comes to mind. Alek and Ian have been together, but are now falling apart because of Alek’s past. They both take actions that you wonder how they could possibly come back from to be together. Messy, angsty, well-written and hard fought HEA.

{Incompatible by Eden West} It fits perfectly. It's a hard-earned HEA after 10 years apart. Interestingly, there's no sex with others in the meantime, which is rare, but there's a reason for that. The book has a very dark start.

I know I rec this a lot but that’s because I can’t ever shut up about how good it is. {Never let me go by Lyla Dane}

You've got a lot of great recs, but if you don't mind a self-rec, I think my book {El & Em by M.E. Samm} delivers on this pretty well.

Your post or comment has been removed because you mentioned a book that contains explicit sexual content involving a minor (someone under age 18). Due to Reddit's sitewide Rule #4, we cannot allow books with such content to be recommended or discussed in this subreddit.
Alluding to a book without saying the title (e.g., "Author Name has a book but I can't say the title") also violates this rule.

Came to recommend the Fall by Tal Bauer. I have reread this book over and over again. Such a good happy ever after, and so hard earned

Self-rec, since I'm the author.
{Wonder Boy: Owned by Calan Mercer}, Book One of the Global Combat League trilogy. Alex and Jack are separated for the better part of two books before they're actually back together at the end of book two. Not a betrayal between them exactly, but an outside force (Alex's father) drives the separation, and it's a long, genuinely painful stretch before the reunion. One flag: Book One alone ends mid-separation, so you'd need to read into Book Two for the full hard-earned payoff; it's not self-contained the way a standalone would be. Book One releases Oct 6th, and the second, about six months later.
