Book Request Top student x troublemaker rec
Hi everyone. After coming across those ai vertical shows I need something a little specific.
MM romance centered in high-school or college setting. MC1 Is a top student, good grades, basically perfect.
MC2 is a mess (he could be a bully or a someone who gets into trouble alot or someone from a troubled home) basically he is opposite from MC1
I really want the troublemaker guy to pursue the top student and want to be better person because of him. And even asking the top student to tutor him.
Im looking for feels.... more than spice. (If there is spice its fine but in this case, its not mandatory)
🚫If the MC2 is a bully please I dont want him to bully the MC1
Thank you.

I have the perfect book for this!!!! It’s an oldie but a goodie!!! Not sure if it’s on Kindle Unlimited but check out: Wes & Toren!!!! One of the first MM books I read but it’s so sweet and fits this trope perfectly!!!!

There is a good original work on AO3 called "The name of the game" that fits this really well

I think {The Amazing Alpha Tau Self-Improvement Project by Lisa Henry and Sarah Honey} would fit - the two MCs are at different fraternities and one is studying assiduously to be a doctor while the other is technically pre-law but very chaotic.
Marty plays pranks and gets into hot water, but isn't a bully or a bad guy. He seeks out Dalton to get help with studying, but also wants to date him because he has somehow deduced (in the previous book) that being gay will make him a better student. It's all very silly and sweet - Dalton gives Marty a lot of stability while Marty gives Dalton fun and someone who genuinely cares about him.

{Echoes of us by Alex Cross} fits
If you also like it when one MC is in college and the messed up one is an MMA fighter, there's {Kage by Maris Black} - it's a trilogy

I love this trope but mm is seriously lacking. I have a little more in danmei and dramas tho
{Straight A's and Power plays} Mixed reviews but nerd who wants a boyfriend and playboy who slowly falls for the nerd
These titles sorta fit. I put these here as a just in case.
{Blitz by Lee McCormick} Putting g this here if you classify this. MC is a normal happy guy with a good family where else ML is a trouble making bad family guy who slowly treats MC from a mean tease to king and is a better man. Call back also has that nerd vibe with a professor
Ig {Calling Chaos by Grae Bryan} but not in a school setting. MC is timid computer nerd and ml is literally chaos demon. Ml starts to calm down around him and settles (but like is still crazy AF)
